The Third War continues on the story left at the end of Yuri's Revenge. The use of the Allies' Time Machine caused a merging in the timelines of the past, present and future. So the end result is an Allied and Soviet Alliance at the end of the Second War, Yuri alive with one base, a strange temporal vortex in North America and several technologies returned (and added). The Alliance forces converge on Yuri's HQ in Antarctica and destroy it, but now a strange new army is emerging through the vortex. The Third War is about to begin...

Good evening. I wasn't aware people were still occasionally visiting this page, never mind curious about the progress of this mod. To those who have actually been paying attention here, I sincerely apologise. I must admit I haven't visited this page (never mind updated it) in at least four years. Please ignore the pointless news imagery. ModDB (for some peculiar reason) would not let me post anything without one, and none of my old mod logos were large enough for their size requirements.

The mod still exists. It's actually gone through a bit of a reboot since I last stopped by here. A new game engine extension system called Ares succeeded RockPatch years ago, and I subsequently took the opportunity to rewrite the mod to work with the new options. However, you've probably picked up on my use of the past tense. I hesitate to use the term "dead". My mod is not dead. I prefer to say it's currently in cold storage. Unfortunately, as is the case with all lone wolf projects such as these, real life always gets in the way. In my case, I've had the combined loads of my university degree and jobs to contend with.

Time isn't the only barrier though... unfortunately motivation is a major factor. This game is now twelve years old. My mod itself has been kicking around in some form or another for nearly a decade. We've all (hopefully) grown up slightly. As I look at the plans I've had saved on my computer for units, super weapons, sides, campaign missions, etcetera... it's all been done by now. Popular wide-reaching mods like Mental Omega have since came up with ideas I've been toying with including for years, and have done a far better job of implementing them than I probably could have. Another problem is that since my graphics capabilities don't extend any further than making interface elements, I have to rely solely on the use of unit assets from resource sites, or recolours I can cobble together in Photoshop. So I find myself constantly asking the question, "What would people actually get out of this mod that they can't already get elsewhere now?" ... and I struggle to think of answers.

When I get home in the evening, I make dinner, I get some work done, and then I try to relax and attempt to get a reasonable night's sleep. I no longer have the ability to sit in front of the computer late into the witching hours endlessly pecking at variables trying to make a forgettable 2D missile to which no-one will pay any attention explode the way I want. Especially when it's no longer anything new.

If you're curious as to what's going to be in the present incarnation of the mod, please see the website ( It hasn't seen any updates since 2011, but the information is at least accurate.

End rambling. I can't and won't promise I'll ever finish this mod. I can't promise I'll even start working on it again. But I don't want to see it perish. Things have to come out of freezers at some point. I'm not dead yet.

Carry on.

If you need a tester and/ or modder I can do it, just give me the files tell me how to install them in the mod, and I can send each set of files for the mod that are completed, but I would Love to see a continuation of the C&C Red Alert 2 Series, so work on your mod, I would love to play it.

Talk to me on xfire.

what we would get out of this mod that cannot be gotten anywhere else is the sense of a alternate path. your mod timeline diverges on its own story that is different from all of the other mods. it really does not matter what the other mods offer, as your mod is exactly that, yours. stop worrying about what the others have done, or built up on or improved as that means little to nothing to the gamers that are able to play "your" mod. as long as it holds true the classic dynamics of the original game and adds a new sort of challenge or a story that can can be flowed with, it will do very well. We are always on the lookout for new ideas, as that keeps gamers motivated to continue playing the game. furthermore, who care if the game is a decade old. EA released the ultimate pack with all of the C&C games so it just re-kick-started the entire C&C genera, and everyone who had no idea about all of these mods and games all those years ago are now currently browsing the mods now and are looking for something to keep them interested. so don't give up just because of what others have "already done." instead, try thinking about what they haven't done then apply your own custom theme that will effectively tie-in to your untested mod. (btw, the new faction looks great regardles of how "old" it is. i just hope we will get to at least see a beta and try it out. might even be able to supply newer ideas via feedback to improve upon what you have already made.)

I really think that this mod will be great, however, 3 YEARS have passed and still no updates.

Maybe, it died out.

I should warn you all that this page is a little out of date (I mean, come on, last news post was 3 years ago :P).
The mod is currently being completely redesigned from the ground up under a new enhancement patch, since the RockPatch program used previously is now no longer in development.
Updates might be some time in coming through. I also tend to forget this page exists, so if you want more updates, keep an eye on the mod's site and forum on Revora Network, since that's where I'll post first.

Also, if you still want to download older versions of the mod, click the Official Page link in the sidebar here, and navigate from there to the download page.
