The STARGATE Mod is a non-commercial project that is created by Stargate fans all around the world for the Stargate Community. It has been around since 1999. Our goal is to create a total conversion for the Half-Life² engine that will journey the player through the Stargate universe as known from the movies and TV series. The mod will feature a singleplayer mode with a compelling story as well as several multiplayer modes. Read our Blog on our team's profile page. We are looking for talented mappers, texture artists, modelers, animation artists and more. See our jobs page for details!!

This is our 2008 Christmas Video, showcasing some of our work, mostly maps. Enjoy. :)
sweet! so many pro maps...
If you could tie in a wormhole sequence somehow that would be tops!
We don't have it finished yet but it's in the workings. :)
A wormhole sequence when heading through the gate wouldn't really be fitting to the series (though I wouldn't care all that much). According to one episode, it takes .3 seconds or something along those lines to head from one side of the gate to the other.
Again, though, I'm sure very few people really mind, just pointing out the actual lore.
Very sweet!
nice looks good sadly i dont have the game plus i'm not good at installing mods lol
Nice work so far!
The thing is, I think the modeled unstable vortex looks a little ugly, so I prefer the classic particle-based one.
Thank you. As for the 'kawoosh' a quote from the corresponding news article: "[...] is still heavily being worked on like the kawoosh effect". This was our very first version and we're still working on it aiming the get it as close to the series as possible. :)
Stargate the last stand has a good one but needs work u mite wanna look at theres, i like the stile of theirs
hl2dm effects and models animations sucks(( dont use them! PLS!!!!!!!
they were temporary and for the video, our animation artist works on lots of stuff and most of the hl2 animations are gone already
I really hope this is not going to be a bunnyhopgame, it looks so great, you should try to give the battles a realistic touch.
That's what we're going for. :)
