The Last Stand is an addon project for the Sins of a Solar Empire, aiming to provide additional and original content, depth and challenge to the game, including three new races, new gameplay elements and tactical gadgets such as mines, interdiction abilities, deployable starbases, new ship classes and more.
The Lattice Gun is the Xin equivalent of an orbital defense platform.
o my god !! that is really sick great job :)
hacker
I came buckets.
amazing!
IT LOOKS LIKE A BEAST SPACE JELLYFISH!!!
I LOVE IT
So the beast loomed in the sky... and we knew as long as it was there that we... were not free. Hee Hee Just some talk of a poor TEC Soldier.
ANd the vasari laughed at the poor tec world for its fate. Oh well sucks for them.
Then the Xin get irritated at the puny Vassaris attempt at Humor and Crush every last Vassari with ease.
then the Advent get ticked off and decide "Oh hey! let's go ahead and blast the Xin to bits!" and as soon as they did the offensive, the ADVENT got blasted to bits instead by the Xin's ultimate (soon-to-be-in-mod) weapon! the END for the ADVENT. XD!!!
Hey i was just wondering, how did you manage to get the blue bits to be so luminecent? Is there a shader or filter that you put on your textures? Also is that rendered in engine or in a 3d modelling program.
When it says "render", that usually means its rendered in a 3D modelling program, XSI in this case. Luminescence-wise the Sins engine does that pretty well also. For this effect you need to paint certain areas with a solid color and then apply a dodge brush to it (in Photoshop). This will produce a sort of a "luminescent" look which really comes to life when combined with either Irradiance shader in XSI or other glow filters such as the one used by the Sins engine.
Thanks for that :), I use 3D Max instead of XSI but im sure it will have a glow filter as well.
I also used XSI's built-in compositor - what you see is actually a composited render where I boosted specular shine and added a bloom effect to the glowing parts.
You know, these Xin guys' biotech reminds me of a cross between Wraith (from Stargate) and Scrin (from C&C 3) tech.
Everyone has their associations. :)
But I'm guessing the Xin don't grow their ships from humans...
Best. Cannon. Ever.
Also, I hope this mod doesn't impact performance too much from non-modded sins. although I suppose I wouldn't get that problem anyway, but never mind. lol
The mortals stare in awe....and fear.
Doesn't matter how many times I see you work mate, you some how manage to suppass the last thing you made! Fantastic work, really looking forward to seeing the structures etc! You really should be pimping yourself out to as many design companies as you can manage! Once again, epic work! I just hope when you finally realise this beast that my poor little machine can hack it, I'll sob like a little girl if not! lol
beautiful model and texture!
HOLY **** ITS LIKE I AM WATCHING A MOVIE...ITS LOOKS SO REALISTIC :O
why the hell cant this be in sins?...........anyway if you still have all these models and textures use them in a different game that could support it...god they are too good to waste.
