This mod is utterly incredible! Everywhere I look I see the four years it took to make this world. From the orcs to the elven armor. The detail is staggering, every scene lovingly crafted, almost every armor textured to perfection. +5
The mod is well balanced and the immersion is total and complete. It immediately reminded me of an Elder-Scrolls Lord of the Rings game. +5
Now sadly there are the bugs. Several quests are broken and some of the enviromental textures (elven bridges and Gondorian stone work) need slightly newer textures or shaders and the solid green in some of the elven scenes need to be fixed. -1
But the experience itself brought me into the heart of Middle-Earth as no Lord of the Rings GAME ever did. 9/10

One of the greatest masterpieces I've ever seen.

Immersion 10/10
All of the areas, armors, weapons, characters, enemies, everything, is perfectly crafted, making the world feel alive. Furthermore, the sheer perfection of fighting against hordes of orcs, trolls, uruks, etc. is one of the greatest ever made.

Polish 8/10
Although the textures and models are perfect, there are still some bugs and crashes. However, I put my faith in the developers to fix all of those.

Magnitude 10/10
All of Middle-Earth, except Eriador, is depicted in this mod and made so in perfection!

Excellent mod, the only thing missing is the siege option :)

While the game itself looks great, and i very much appreciate the effort put into it, the choices of what you can do are kind of shallow. It's really just delivering letters and killing weaker enemies until the war starts. And the thing is, after that it's just following the general. Like the mod, but it really needs more freedom.

This is the mod every fan of Middle Earth must have. Huge map, nice armors, good representation of orcs and uruk-hai, battles with powerfull trolls, spider's embush, etc.
The only thing is that it's impossible to manage villages or cities, or to make a siege yourself.

It crashes whenever I try to play it.

Despite the presence of major features such as whole new lore-acurate troop trees (for most of them), lore-accurate locations which are designed with great care which testify of an amazing work on the part of the team ; I must say that the game, at some point, becomes really boring.
The scripts don't work properly and some factions stop all war effort at some point. Thus the player finds himself alone with 50 partysize against whole factions. The rank progression is too painful and should be unique for each side (Good/Evil), the role of the player in the war is always the same. The player has no initiative at all, which makes the link with your faction leader a burden when your faction stop fighting.

I only give a 5/10 because I think this mod is somewhat correct but half of the work remains to be done.

TLD is without a doubt one of the best mods aot there, and I'd say the best for Mount&Blade.

It's not just the art, the gorgeous scenery, the inmersive new quests and the new gameplay features (and that alone would be enough to stand out), it's the incredible ammount of detail put in every bit of the world, in every line of dialogue. The kind of things that show the developer's deep love and knowledge of Tokien's work. And I am a victim of the same love, so I can't be impartial at all. TLD is not only an amazing mod that is incredibly fun to play, it's also a tribute that appeals to the memories of the time when I was reading LOTR for the first time and couldn't stop reading until late night.

That's why I give it a 10/10

Eh.

This mod should be in the top 3 of the best mods ever made.

BUT is full of bugs and abandoned. My first play: I find two parties fighting but I can't join. Finally I fight one of them: I die and the two armies remain motionless and very close, with a small hill between them (my army was holding ground). Reload. I'm attacked by an invisible army in the minimap. Fighting deserters is a mess because there are no banners on friendly troops (bugged).

With this mod you could easily earn some donations or even patreon supporters. Just fix it and Ill change my vote to 10. What a waste.
