Description

Got tired of looking at my old crappy Blackroot units, so I re-did them. I didn't really care for GW's troops, so I went with my own idea, and I'm happy with the way they turned out.

The famed archers of Blackroot Vale are masters of the bow, perhaps even moreso than the rangers of Ithilien, and their light armor gives them the speed to move quickly if they become endangered. However, their skill with their unique longbows comes at a cost - even their strongest troops wear weaker armor than most Gondorian units, and they are unsuited for close combat in general. Still, a group of Blackroot Vale archers can easily and quickly decimate an unshielded enemy formation from range, should they be given sufficient time to shatter shields and fine soft targets. The forces of evil would do well to eliminate these foes with cavalry, such as Warg Riders or Black Numenorian Knights, before they can make pincushions out of orc-hide.
