In Lament, you take the role of Michael Anderson, a researcher and archaeologist living in England, 1845.
Normally I wouldn't do a post like this, but this is a very abnormal level and I wanted to show the amount of progress that's been made. Aside from the obvious lighting changes, there are also a lot of small additions that add life to the scene. Dead leaves carried by the wind, flags blowing atop towers, and even birds, which use a sprite I animated by hand.
I've also done a lot of work with the level's soundscape, adding the distant sound of birds singing and calling, wind sweeping down the mountains and through the trees, and the groaning of the windmill. Perhaps I'll make a video showcasing this in the near future, as well as all the moving elements of the level (the windmills in particular I find to be very effective).
Oh, and all the house variations are modeled. They're split into three interchangeable pieces, making for a total of 27 different combinations, including one and two floor houses.
this look marvellous. Reminds me of Thief a bit!
Skyrim graphics. I don't know how you do this but its amazing!!
I would love to see this in action, the map looks absolutely stunning and shows you can make very nice outdoor settings in HPL2!
Holy ****.

Hopefully, it is not being lag in my computer.
