Description

Repubblica di Genova - A great republic, yet a troubled one. For almost 800 years the quarrelsome families of Ardono, Campofregoso, Grimaldi and many more, have sailed the Mediterranean Sea and traded with precious items throughout Europe. Enriched by their flourishing trade the Republic endured through several centuries free of any sovereign until they were finally crushed in 1797 by Napoleon Bonaparte.
