Description

This is the world of the Ilsamiren Wars. Only the Western Continent is known to the Ilsamiri and their allies. To the East lies another continent, but of that place nothing is yet known. The Islands of the Dividing Sea are inhabited by two factions, the Seaborne - cruel slavers - in the North and the Ocean Tribes in the South.

The Northern Kingdom lies in the North of the Western Continent beyond the Three Ranges which run East-West; the Hlan Kires (Final Wall) in the west, the Urkea Pradhie (the Shielding Mountains) in the east and the Vurea Tehavalin (the Unassailable Peaks) in the centre. There are two passes in this long chain of mountains - the Open Pass (Ar Kwith Ulres) in the west and the True God's Pass (Ar Kwith Lechan) in the east.

Moving South, we come to the lands of the Cirume Cehu'ath which stretch from the west coast to the River of Darineth (Or Glemir Darinethas). The mountains which form a semicircle with a lake at its hub are the Arkiri Garise (the Giving Mountains) which feed the lake and surrounding countryside with their snow-melt.

The Ilsamiri hold the territory east of the River Darineth, from the Shielding Mountains, down the coast to the mouth of the Bay. The site of their capital city, Darineth, is visible near the mouth of the River (the triangular island is the Haven of their city).

Around the Tairen Virone (the Beautiful Bay) are the lands of the Southern Kingdom. Their territory stretches about half way up the River of Mercy (Or Glemir Cleru'ath), which flows from the Anchor Lake (Or Taidh Gleman), to the North and to the borders of the vast forest to the South. Their western border is the mountain range known as the Arkiri Eltarise (the Setting Mountains).

The Clauthnor (the Forest of Light) is the name of the vast woodland which dominates the south of the continent. It is the domain of bandits and is rarely travelled by people from the North.
