The Great War mod is a total conversion modification for Napoleon: Total War. It creates an authentic representation of World War 1-era tactics, strategies and general warfare within the game. Including stunning new visuals that include entirely new models and textures for equipment, vehicles and more, the mod immerses you into the era with brand new gameplay unlike anything you've experienced in Total War before.
This is our first preview which focuses on minor factions. The factions featured are Serbia, Romania and Portugal.

Great work indeed! I thought your will be doing only majors. Serbian and Ottoman campaigns were my favourite and most challenging ones.
P.S. Serbian reservist unit has actually two great coats on the picture (one is rolled), what looks a bit weird.
Just consider it a blanket and shelter-half. Ingame the backpack (including horseshoe-roll) is set by unit. So when there's a mix of tunic and greatcoat-wearing soldiers in the same unit, they all have to wear the same thing; it can't be set individually.
Nice work on the minor factions! On a separate note, I hate to be that guy, but have you completely abandoned TGW mod for COH? You have loyal followers over there too, eagerly awaiting some kind of news.
Part of the stipulation of him working on this mod is that he gets access to all the models I created for this mod to use in TGW COH. Also all the work he is doing here can be ported to his mod, so in a way he is working on his mod still.
So I believe he is still planning on working on TGWCOH.
It seems like you took him hostage;) Just kidding) Your guys are doing great job for all WW1 fans. And never mind here or for COH.
Just appreciation and respect.
good gord damn this mod is looking so fooking good
I am so ******* ready you have no idea
Love love love this!!! Can't wait for this update!
Oh man Portugal looks amazing, cant wait to play this!
I am so glad i popped in to check after ages. Long Live The Great War Mod!
So, next will be Belgium and Greece? Or some neutrals like Switzerland and Netherland?
This is amazing, you guys are doing a great job.
What date will the update release?
I'm excited for the Belgian faction :D
Looking forward to the next release!
I'm absolutely hyped for this, those models look gorgeous! Keep up the great work!
Is there already a list of emerging factions in TGW6? I read on TWcenter that they are going to be overhauled as well?
Hey guys! Fantastic work so far on the mod! This is hands down my favorite TW mod in existence. I had a quick question for the mod authors. Will you be revisiting the major powers uniforms such as GBR as well in the new update to make them a bit more accurate? Thank you so much for the hard work that you've put into this mod! It is greatly appreciated.
Yes, all major factions will receive a uniform update.
make the greeks speak spanish, because having them speaking turkish is just stupid.
So greeks in the game are actually speaking Turkish?
I assume that the texture of the Serbian revolutionnary sharpshooters' kiver/shako should be fixed now, too. It had grey/white patches on it.
How do I get these units?
good
oh boy oh boy! Can't wait to see more minor factions rework like or something! So hyped for the new release!
How can I get this mod?
Here's the basic weapons for the ncos and the rifles for the soldiers:
France: Lebel M1886 Rifle & M1892 "Lebel" Revolver
Germany: Keep the Gewehr 98 Rifle and add the P08 Luger
Great Britain, same rifles for Scotland and Ireland as well: Keep the Lee-Enfield Mark 3 & Webley Mark VI
Russia and the Soviet Union: Mosin-Nagant M1891 & Nagant M1895
Austria-Hungary, same rifles for Austria (Republic) and Hungary: Mannlicher M95 & Frommer Stop
Bulgarian Infantry for the Ottoman Empire should use (if possible) the same weapons as Austria Hungary
Ottoman Empire: M1887 Rifle & Beholla M1915
Italy, same rifles for Venice, Milan, and Piedmont-Luguria (P.S., why are the Venetian Rebels, the Milanese Rebels, and the Piedmont-Ligurian Rebels all called Serbjia?): Paraviccini-Carcano M1891 & Glisenti M1910
Serbia: Mauser-Koka M1880 & FN M1910
Belgium: Mauser M1889 and FN M1900
Romania (P.P.S., why is it that Romania doesn't control the region of "Iasi, Moldovia & Besserabia"? Also why is it not a victory condition?) : Mannlicher M1893 & Steyr M1912
Greece: Mannlicher–Schönauer M1903 & Mannlicher M1901

I hope you changed also that the Serbian ministers have Italian names, and they are quite weird.. ot would be nice to add two famous Serbian generals.. Zivojin Misic, Stepa Stepanovic.. thank you
Is Serbia playable in campaign ? Dont forget that Serbia played a huge role to the end of Austro - Hungary Empire.
