That's the technical term.
Couldn't Pelican's also fire rockets?
I remember in Halo 3 during the first mission when you rescue Sgt. Johnson and his Marines in the Jungle that a Phantom was harassing us with it's turret. But then a Pelican came and let out a salvo of rockets straight into it's side blowing it out of the sky.
Anyways, great work thus far.
I remember that mission, That Pelican shot 2 salvos of missiles on to both of the Phantoms.
I remember on the original halo 2 you see 2 different Pelicans one with a cannon holing the Warthog another one with no cannon but instead missiles.
You can see a bunch of pelicans flying by and shooting rockets at the scarab in the end of Metropolis too.
Pelicans could fire Anvil II Rockets from large pods under the wings. Chin gun armament consisted of either a 70mm or 40mm autocannon, the TEI devs are sticking with the latter.
Is this a cannon or a machine gun?
Or since we're being technical: Does it fire the big explosive bullets or the small, regular bullets?
One would assume the big, shooty kind.
In all honest it's probably going to be firing some large rounds.
M638 Autocannon, explosive rounds of 20 mm.

looking awesome.
I suppose the turret its not going to be able to rotate (unless you have come up with something), but nice to see that the pilot will be able to shoot something, even if it is a forward fixed weapon :)
I'd imagine it'd be gunner-operated.
hm will that turret be operated by the gunner or the pilot is it fixed or can it rotate? also will you guys eventually change the warthogs minigun sounds? cuz atm its just the boring vanilla arma 3 50.cal sound.
totaly offtopic i know haha
turret will be operated by the gunner.
Who is the gunner in the falcon? I thought there was only 1 pilot and passengers, not gunner. Did you change the cockpit in order to have both gunner and pilot at the end?
for the pelican, the falcon we are not 100% sure yet
You could make a 2 seater version of the falcon based on this concept art here: Gamereactor.se
Or have a console in the troop bay.
... and pilot can switch to manual fire whenever he wants, actually that does not sound bad.
I thought the Pelican had a 70mm Chaingun ?
Well, according to the wikia, there are both 40mm and 70mm variants. But, I'm not sure how an aircraft mounted 70 mike mike autocannon would work. A 70mm shell would be massive, I don't know if you could store enough ammo to make it worth while. At least, in real life anyway. But then again I'm no expert, so I could be wrong.
Keep in mind, the A-10 Thunderbolt only has a 30mm cannon, and it's pretty devastating. With the 70mm, 5mm bigger and you'd have a Sherman tank's shell.
Superior engines nd Stabilizers would make it possible.
