Global warming, recession and resource depletion has rendered only a few places on Earth still in the possession of valuable fossil fuels. This includes the ex-countries of Namibia and Botswana now occupied by the expansionist People's Federation of Central Africa (PFCA). This region becomes known as 'The District' when the South African government intervenes to help it's two Northern allies.

This is a very basic map with only a few "Islands" that contain elevation meaning the rest of the map is completely flat. This map is designed for vehicle combat.
"After capturing Gaborone and pushing North, the South African National Defense Forces now face the remaining UFCA forces in the Botswana region of 'The District'. The 123rd and 95th People's Liberation Divisions of the UFCA launch a desperate counter attack against the South African forces approaching from the South in a last attempt to stop them from advancing into Namibia from the North-East and recapturing the rest of Botswana."
