Global warming, recession and resource depletion has rendered only a few places on Earth still in the possession of valuable fossil fuels. This includes the ex-countries of Namibia and Botswana now occupied by the expansionist People's Federation of Central Africa (PFCA). This region becomes known as 'The District' when the South African government intervenes to help it's two Northern allies.

After several battles, the SANDF has surrounded the town of Letlhakane. The ensuing battle was costly for both sides but saw the destruction of the UFCA in the South-Eastern part of The District."
