Full Version 1 commentHistoric Medieval II mod about the late dark ages in the southern central meditterranean
this mod is historic and takes place between 850 a.d. and 1100 a.d.
it focused on Southern Italy and the surrounding Isles of Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily, also Tunisia and Algeria
the Central Mediterranean (thus the name hehe) it is focused on the invading Muslims, the Byzantines trying too retain their Italian and Sicilian holdings
and the Native Italians trying too defend and expand where possible, all this while having too worry about the pirates of both Corsica and Sardinia who control the sea
factions are:
Byzantium ( southern Italy) playable
the Emirate of Sicily (western Sicily) playable
the Aghlabid Dynasty (Tunisia) playable
the Berber tribes (Algeria)playable
The Papal States ( southern Italy) playable
Duchy de Spoleto ( Southern Italy) playable
Duchy de Amalfi ( island of Capri of the western Italian coast) playable
Duchy De Messina` (eastern Sicily) playable
Principality de Capua (southern Italy) playable
Principality De Benevento (southern Italy) playable
The Corsican Pirates (Corsica) non-playable
the Sardinian pirates (Sardinia) non-playable
most factions have their own music, menu and user interface graphics Every faction is a very unique campaign
the map is gigantic but is fully geo-mod compatible if you care too alter it or add more regions ( region count is 150 now)

installation is easy: after you you unzip the downloaded package, put the Tempesta folder in your mods folder in your main medieval two folder (steam users go too program files or program files86\steam\steamapps\common\medieval II)
too run the nod go into the main folder of the tempesta folder and hit the bat. file good luck! (optional right click on the bat. file and create short cut rename short cut to whatever you would like and copy too desk top)

Hi, user from Italy here.
I see from the images the names that you have given to the factions and I wondered whether you might be interested in a linguistic help when it comes to details in italian. If the name you intend to give to the mod is italian for "Mediterranean Storm", the right translation would be "Tempesta Mediterranea". I see that sometimes in the various names or titles you added the character " ` ", but it is not needed in any of those cases. The faction names also seem to mix english words with attempts at italian ones but that probably doesn't serve well any of the two languages. If you wish faction names to be in english they would be:
Byzantium
Emirate of Sicily
Aghlabid Dynasty
Berber tribes
Papal States
Duchy of Spoleto
Duchy of Amalfi
Duchy of Messina
Principality of Capua
Principality of Benevento
Corsican pirates (Corsica)
Sardinian pirates (Sardinia)
(if you want to add a "The" at the beginning of a faction's name, you should probably do that with all of them.)
If instead you wish to have faction names in italian they would be:
Bisanzio
Emirato di Sicilia
Dinastia Aghlabide
Tribù Berbere
Stato Pontificio
Ducato di Spoleto
Ducato di Amalfi
Ducato di Messina
Principato di Capua

I like the mod, but there a 2 things that i would fix:
1) The colours in general, the faded theme is a good idea but i makes it a bit difficult to see things some times, also at the star of each turn when you get the little text screens with the traits the background color makes it almost impossible to read, so either change the letter colour to a brighter black or change the background.
2) There are NO units in the towns, etc... Meaning that you face revolts from the first turn.
I really like this mod and i hope that you keep working in this.

I looked at the map and it looks good but the mountains look really weird. Will you add more troops for each faction?
