I don't understand why is MGM sitting on it, everybody ******* wants more Stargate yet they are not doing anything about it. They could be making billions of dollars, but it's like they don't want to o.O
I love the show and would love to see more but as they proved with Universe they have run out of good roads for the show to go down
In my opinion as a die hard fan who has every move tv episode even some memorabilia and replicas the show could use the down time to give everyone time to give it a good long look and come up with something Amazing rather than something they have done before but changed a little here and there
When it comes back and i belive strongly it will i would hope it will be something we can all say OMG well worth the wait
Well, I actually like Universe myself. I thought it was an interesting direction and the cast was pretty good.
We should boycott MGM, maybe that will put some pressure on them so that they actually start to listen to the real SG fans. I mean, who wants a damn reboot? I guess the answer to that would be slim against the amount of people who are actually looking for the series to continue. The reboot will do only harm by killing and dismissing the whole series, leaving no future for anymore "real" Stargate.
MGM really needs to pull their heads out of their *****, really.

I agree with you, a reboot would be an absolutely horrible idea, in my opinion they should continue the story.
I don't mind seeing the good old cast in some cameos, but almost all of them are pretty old now and should not be in the main cast. We need fresh blood, like SGU had.
I signed various SGU petitions long time ago, now it's a bit too late. It has been canceled for far too long for it to continue with same cast, and doing it all over again with new cast is simply not the same :/
You're right. Joe Flanigan said "with a season 6 for Stargate Atlantis, a season 6 of 20 episodes, I'd make more profit than their trilogy". I'm going to upload the interview in the upcoming hours, but I'm going to add subtitles because Joe's voice is a bit hard to understand for non-native English speakers.
There is a plan to do a reboot. Completely start again from the top! The original movie was suppose to be the first of a trilogy. Because it's moved away from the original movie ideas so much I heard they were just going to put a line under EVERYTHING and start again. Just like with the new Star Trek films.
The reboot is a joke. I mean, this reboot shouldn't even exist. Joe said the same thing on his interview and I fully agree with him. Will upload the interview soon.

i remember reading along time ago something like the director or the writter or whatever of the original movie said he didnt like the shows at all and said they where non cannon. obviously they are cannon though. he and they can say they arnt but they where created in the universe of the original movie and are cannon to that just as all the expanded universe stuff for star wars is cannon atleast in some shape to the original 2 trillogies.
