Is it just the angle, or does the gate look smaller than the jumper would be if the pods were retracted?
Angle, as our Designer Amon Râ designed the gate a while ago for the mod with the good scale, so that jumpers can use the gate, though it's not implemented yet.
OK, that's good. Also, speaking of ships using gates, will there be something like the hyperspace gates in vanilla? A supergate or something? Then again, almost anything that didn't have a hyperdrive could probably fit into a slightly upscaled stargate. (Damn wings!)
We plan to implement the Supergate, as the Ori should be added as a patch after the upcoming release. You'll notice that we've already modeled and textured the Supergate: Moddb.com
Not entirely what I meant, I meant that little device the Vaagari could build which allowed their smaller ships to jump through hyperspace from one place to another without costing obscene amounts of RU. (They were called the Vaagari right? It's been a while since I played.)
