Hello everyone,

I would like to say that tomorrow I will be working on getting the mod compatible with 1.1, and this being said there will be a release before the end of the month, this I swear to you. Right now, there is no Titan selection, and for this release there probably wont be, however the mod will hopefully be working with the 1.1 Rebellion patch. Titans will still be in the mod, at least the 2 that are done, however you will not be able to build them in a standard game, unless I can get this code working relatively easy.

Also, on a side note. Being that Atlantis is being moved the the Titan slot, this brings an opening for a cap slot. We already have it filled, with Destiny. I know that I have said time and time again that we will not have Destiny from the show in the mod, and this remains true. This version of the Destiny class will have everything Destiny about her, but will not include a gate, and will mainly be used for Colonization. I am working out what sort of abilities that I would like to have on her, but that being said, I am open to some ideas.

Anyhow, there will be a picture or two to show off of our Destiny model, thanks to my good friend Chiltetrek for making the model and the texture.

If there is anyway to do the first one, rest should be relatively simple:
1. give it improved stats around stars, higher shields, faster rate of fire.
2. Something with kinos?
3. Spawn a shuttle, would be a corvette class ship

If first is impossible than there are 2 ideas for ya

Maybe the first could be done with an effect on all stars which only affects Destiny class ships, if it isn't possible on the ship of course. Could it be possible that a Destiny class ship could use an ability where Kino's are used to explore the gravity wells within one jump away for a short period of time?

I would have thought the shuttle would fit more in the fighter role as it is very small really and would need to re-dock with Destiny before moving to another gravity well. Just my input.

I only said it should be a corvette as you could have it have a set time limit before it had to despawn/redock with destiny.

Awesome to hear the mod will be out before the end of the month, been looking forward to this for a ling time now, even more so because of it being on rebellion.

1. Perhaps something to do with the repair drones that Destiny had in the series?
2. Or something with how Destiny's shields constantly try to match enemy weapons fire? It could give some sort of stacking bonus to Shield mitigation?

To clarify, though it may be late, all shields in SciFi shows and canon are generally surmised to have some kind of adaptation ability.

i hope she has that giant cannon on the bottom i loved watching that thing fire that could be her level 6 ability, cannon volley. without this the cannon could fire three shots per volley with a cooldown but with this active it would allow the cannon to focus on a specific target and fire a large volley that does a large amount of damage against said target :). anyways cant wait to try this on dip before i get reb lol thanks guys

assuming you want 6 ability per cap / titan? i'll try to come up with 2 offensive, defensive and support role ability's..

a good way to give it a "star grav well bonus". could be to make all star types destiny's "allied gravity wells". if you cant think of another way of coding it and like the guys idea.

1. (offensive ability ) no ship in the game has a "full fire mode". what if destiny's turrets underneath were an ability. only usable vs capital ships+ or planets.. and probably OP. even say, 3 shots doing 1000 dmg each. not too OP, but would rip a capital ships shields to shreds. (with a 45-60 second cooldown) so, once per battle. (just read marchingmusicman, good idea nonetheless)

2. (support ability) the destiny is the master of FTL. ships around it move faster in FTL speed as a passive?. (due to the computers FTL planning efficiency or some bs)

3. ( support ) a colonizing ability which make's upgrades FREE. otherwise its a waste of a slot IMO.

4. (defense) someone mentioned the changing frequency's, instead of shield mitigation you could have an ability which re-fills shields by 50% but stops the destiny from attacking altogether ( like the series) could be for 15 seconds? or till they leave the grav well. (making it a hard to abuse ability)

5. ( support) it will be a flagship after all, the "commanding vessel". allied ships inside its gravity well get increased shield mitigation (due to changing frequencies) increased range (long range targeting systems) or increase rate of fire (offensive co-ordination)

6. (defense) upgrade ships HP/ shield/ basic attack dmg.

i couldnt come up with 2 offensive ability's :|.. cept shuttle's.. which i dont think are worth it as destiny had 2.

i would like to see the shield 50% regen as the lvl 6.. it should be hard to get, cause it'd make destroying your "destiny" more than just a challenge.

Wont the Destiny only have 3 open ability slots? Like, 1 used for colonization, 2 other abilities and then the Ultimate, Since its only going to be the colony ship?

1,2,3 are basic abilitys, 4,5,6 are ults.

i meant i'd try to suggest 2 of each, 1 suggestion each for the ult..

it was like 4am for me ^_^

i also thought destiny was going to be the titan O_O *skim read*

Maybe you could have an ability that recharges shields but only works when in a star well.
