here is a shot of the WIP texture of the Asuran gate satellite, as well as the space gate. Enjoy.
will this gate satellite have the beam like in the atlantis show ? and is this going to be a planetary bombardment weapon or for destroying ships ? :O
both. And yes, it will have the beam weapon. We are also looking at setting up a charge for it that will be the activation of the gate.
will this gate satellite have a cool animation like the gate opening etc ?
Please read my post... It states that we are going to do a charge effect of the gate activating.

another question, is it going to be destroyable? or do you have to abandon the planet when it is in orbit?
good question, but probably not as that would make it too overpowered.
Will you only be able to have one active per planet? Since you can't have more than one active wormhole per planet?
That could even be a defence against it. As soon as it pops into orbit, dial to some backwater planet, like Earth, and lo and behold, you got another shiny bauble in orbit, doing nothing but looking shiny.
