GR-75 medium transport (Old Model) image - Star Wars Rise of Hope mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Star Wars Rise of Hope is a mod that will be based on the early Empire and its fall against the Rebel Alliance and its following sucessor the New Republic.
The GR-75 medium transport or Rebel transport, was a clamshell-hulled transport.
Many GR-75 transports were acquired by the Rebel Alliance due to their low cost and ready access to spare parts. The transports had hulls impenetrable by Imperial sensors and were additionally equipped with sensor jammers, making them undetectable to Imperial sensors, thus reducing the chances of Imperials detecting Rebel supply runs.
Focused entirely on maximizing cargo space, GR-75 transports were armed with four turreted twin laser cannons. While inexpensive, the GR-75 was notorious for its high maintenance requirements.
They also were used as kamikaze vessels, as demonstrated during the Battle of Endor, where they functioned as fire ships and were loaded with explosives.
I dont know why people is so eager for the GR-75, but here it is in all its glory.

Looks nice. This one I still have no idea what purpose it serves in battles but the Rebels seem to like to bring them in numbers to every major space battle on screen. Guess it can serve as an extra anti fighter ship and not be buildable but spawn in with something else like an MC-80 or something basically make this the Rebel Gozanti. They also keep the ground transport role but no one wants to bring in their ground forces to a space battle just to see GR-75's in action.
People asked for it to much, I had to showed it.
That´s been taken in account, I didnt wanted to show it as we didnt know what exactly do with it. It will be the transport for infantry and light-medium vehicles, but how it will participate more in space is still to be decided.
Seeing as how on screen so far it only shows up in big battles like Endor and Scariff typically if an MC-80 was there it was a big Rebel fleet so if there was a pair of them accompanying an MC-80 or comparably sized ship that could cover their space presence. Just make the 4 laser turrets really accurate vs fighters and bombers and they'd find some small purpose at least.

The Alliance will have 4 transports, the GR-75 would be the one on the middle, as I said we are looking to see if there is any way to make it have more importance on space.
