Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.

They might be a bunch of terrorists and criminals, but I'll give them this: they have good taste in Star Destroyers.

I don't know if even the Empire would call the New Republic terrorists. The main difference between the Rebels and New Republic is that the New Republic uses completely conventional warfare, and is a proper government.

Doesn't matter to them. The Criminals of the Empire destroy or threaten legitimate governments all the time.

Ooh, excellent. We retain our Liberty class cruisers, if only I'd get to keep my Providence class destroyers.

Yup. The New Republic ship roster isn't quite final yet, but there is a good chance these are the combat ships the two sides have in common.

I hope you find a better model for the Nebula class that particular model looks distinctly like the one from SOGE. Which is my least favorite model from that entire mode it looks so horrible compared to other ships.

I would certainly agree it could be better. Unfortunately not that many modelers have done the New Republic era ships, but we will keep our eyes out (or maybe fix it up ourselves).

I think a nice re-skin would improve it dramatically a lot of what is wrong is the skin it was given it doesn't make the armour look smooth and shiny like it's a new ship. Of all mods I played I have only seen 3 particular Nebula/Endurance class models, SOGEs, Ascendancy and the one from Alliance mod.

I think a mod for empire at war had a decent Nebula model. Might have in the old ultimate EAW mod that died a few years ago.

I've never played any mods for EaW actually, so I wouldn't know of any if they did exist. :p

Description

A New Republic is born, but will it have the experience and tenacity to survive in the brutal conflicts of the Interregnum? That question will have to be answered later. Fortunately, commanders playing as the New Republic will have no shortage of powerful warships to choose from, including the formidable Nebula class Star Destroyer.
