Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
Towards the endgame of a 2v2 coop match with my friend, we had the one remaining AI pinned in around the three planets next to their capital and no matter how hard they tried they couldn't break out. Instead of just finishing them off, we decided to build the largest fleets the game would physically permit- combined with all possible research that would yield benifits to our command and supply, along with our use of the doubled fleet supply & command mod, this allowed us to both have fleets of 35 capital ships, a Titan, and hundreds upon hundreds of frigates. Enjoy. For the Empire!
The title doesn't lie...
thats quite massive
Second one is my wallpaper right now!
That arrow, I mean, Executor is pointing at where the fleet is!
Who needs a Death Star when you could just build a million star destroyers? They have the same effect basically. Mass intimidation and destruction.
And a fleet this size would only represent barely 1% of the Empire's fleet. It's said they had 25,000 Star Destroyers in service, so imagine how big the rest of their fleet was!
More than any game engine can handle. Though the 25,000 number has probably gone down quite bit since Endor with this mod's alternate timeline. :p
I remember hearing somewhere that when the New Republic was officially formed, the number was under 10k. Don't quote me on that though.
Especially considering all the Warlording, it would actually be impossible to really account for all of them.
Yup. A good chunk have been destroyed, but with 5 major Imperial factions and countless smaller ones, what is left has been severely fragmented.
Although I'm sure the Star Destroyers have taken their toll on the enemy as well... they are very powerful vessels.
true to that, besides Star Destroyers were considered high level ships that didn't engage in just any circumstances, so if there were 25000 of them there were at least a hundred times more ships below their level
