Star Wars: Interregnum is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion that builds off of the highly successful Enhanced 4X Mod. Fleeing the unknown terror that is chasing the Vasari, the factions of Sins of a Solar Empire stumble on a temporary wormhole that takes them to a galaxy far, far away. The sudden arrival of armadas with trillions of refugees and thousands of warships between the events of Episodes 5 & 6 forever alters the Star Wars universe and plunges the galaxy into an unprecedented period of chaos and violence. Begun, a new conflict has.
Witness the screams of a million terrorists being silenced, Imperial style.
what is that?
home one?
Indeed, but with more fire.
it could be more on fire
I still want to see a Death Star in Sins, don't care how...
As a special planet, structure or Ship. All that matters is that it can destroy a planet/ship in one shot
theres a starwars mod where the emp titan is the deathstar and its massive lmao it one shots everything
Which mod?
Moddb.com i believe its this one
We don't talk about Nomanda here, he insulted the STA3 mod.
that guy is a HUGE ****. the absolute biggest ******* of a modder iv ever personally encountered. and iv talked with a fair number of modders. that guy is just a douche
He did! Blood.....
I was hoping that there was a different mod than THAT one with a full size death star....
Well OK then
ill be honest, the rebels (except The 4) were lame when compared to the empire, BUT, palps i was never a fan of - he is a massive ****, firstly, second, he supposed to be super powerful, yet insists on his stupid old-fart-with-a-cane disguise, and was killed by being thrown away... Vader should have become Emperor
first off the emperor was so powerful he actually was rotting from the inside out from his body trying to contain it. hence why he transferred his spirit to a clone every few years in the old expanded universe.
Well in this mod you got your wish! Of course its a heavily splintered Empire with hostile immigrants or rebellious worlds waging war at half the border, but hey, he still has a better claim than anyone else.
agreed GoaFan! and @Broken, anyone who rots their own body from their power is just a fool in terms of foresight in my opinion. im sure you will disagree with that, but thats just my opinion that given the nature of the dark side a sith lord should of thought of sustenance earlier on.
that said, in terms of the force i actually prefer the "grey" idea, that light and dark side philosophies are both weak and there is only the force. which is also why i like Revan and Kyle Katarn so much XD
Typical Imperial propaganda. These so called Terrorists wouldn't exist if the Empire had truly sought peace. Instead, We will fight for our friends, families, and the lives of trillions being threatened, enslaved or snuffed out just because they arn't human or do not agree to their oppressive laws and actions.
Remember Alderaan! It may be your home the Empire destroy next.
Who let the rebel into my post! ;)
Edit: Actually the empire was on track to restore total peace in the galaxy, had the emperor not messed up by letting starkiller gather all the senators opposing palpatine and failed in killing them there would never have been a rebellion to begin with.
Had the ******* ran the Republic properly Palpatine wouldn't have laid down his plans lets be honest. Given his force powers most of what he did was to get the universe ready to fight against the vong anyways.
I'm pretty sure Palpatine would have gladly took power with or without a possible Vong invasion. Just as he did in the current canon. :p
Pretty much the entire ending is just retarded you've got a fleet of like several hundred star destroyers and somehow they win with tiny fuckwads.
They had suicidal a wings
Taking out one control tower on a ship with 6 different control towers and god knows how many back up operations rooms deep within its bowels. Lucas was extremely dumb on so many aspects in regards to this or even the rebellions success.
*shrugs* I heard that it's due to the fact that before they could transfer full control of the ship to one of those other operations centers (considering most of, if not ALL OF, the command crew were PROBABLY blown up in said control tower), they were pulled in by the Death Star II's gravity. The thing's the size of a friggin MOON: even if it's weak, it's still gonna have a gravitational pull.
Plus, let's be real here: Star Wars Computer Technology ain't the best out there. Sure, it's better than what's out TODAY, but compared to a couple other Sci-Fi universes out there, their computer tech just isn't as powerful...
When you think about it the whole space battle at the end of return of the jedi made no sense from a tactical perspective. The whole battle the only rebel ships that really did a thing were the starfighters all of which were hyperdrive equipped. Besides being a big fat distraction the larger warships didn't do a single thing but risk the core military structure of the rebel alliance. It would make a lot more sense to try and board and take over the death star 2 as opposed to plopping all of your most vital military ships in front of a well armed and protected moon sized space station.
Well, it's wasn't really a 'well planned attack', rather, an act of desperation, is what I gathered: basically, this Death Star is meant to remove the weaknesses of the first: the main reason the Rebels had a CHANCE is due to the fact that the damned thing wasn't fully completed, so not everything was covered and stuff.
Plus, had the thing BEEN finished, the Rebellion was probably screwed anyways, so they decided to take the chance, and try to end it, then and there...
Okay I Had to reply to someone eventually. Check this out, put yourself in the empires shoes. This is the largest and most well combat equipped fleet in the galaxy at the time (may be wrong on that one?). Yes you had the drop on them and you had combat hardened troops who had mostly been serving on their respective star destroyers for years before this, its the final battle, every ones emotions are almost certainly running a little high. Now to show the Legends side of star wars, the Emperor was so powerful in the dark side that he used it to influence his men in battle and throughout the galaxy a force moral booster power if you will. Making them rarely retreat from a fight and especially not right in front of him when he's commanding the fleet at the time. In a book I recently read Chewbacca and Leia flew past Endor and through the area where the star destroyer had once been not long (maybe a year or two? Leia was pregnant with her twins at the time) been destroyed after the battle. The Emperor's connection to the dark side was so strong that Leia went into a coma since she was force sensitive. Palpatine was a walking god in his own right When he died that connection to his men was severed, They had also just lost the pride of their fleet, their invincible Executor, smash face first into the death star because of a suicide bomber. Those two things combined, mentally and physically would demolish the moral of any in the imperial navy god bless their souls. Don't think the Rebels got way without a scratch. They lost thousands of men while most of our star destroyers jumped to hyperspace because we had lost the fighter advantage. War is about tactics, and tactics win.
That's right, and in the beginning of the battle, the emperor, ordered the ISD's to hold fire, he wanted the Death Star to destroy the fleet slowly, so Luke would have more time to be turned. By the time the DS exploded and the emperor died the Imperial Fleet had taken a hit already. The Empire simply didn't take the Rebels seriously enough... My only, and eternal, complaint is the Eworks.
