A mod pack containing Battlefront III Legacy Pre-PRE-DEMO 3.0 and Era Mod 1.4 and all of the working addons, patches and expansions in one easy to install download.
This mod requires use of a legitimate copy of Star Wars Battlefront II 2005 by Pandemic
This is a all-in-one download for all things legacy to celebrate the massive amount of attention we have gained recently!
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
- Included along with this Read Me file is a swbf2_remaster executable file, run it and install it to the place the installer is asking for.
- This should be the GameData folder inside your Battlefront II's game directory, if you are on steam you can access this by right clicking the game in your library and selecting 'Manage' and then 'Browse local files'
- The installer may not install to the folder even if you enter it correctly, to solve this simply add another slash at the end of the path and it will work.
- Our mod uses scripts that are present in this other mod and depend on it being installed to function properly.
- While in the GameData folder you just need to copy the 'addon' folder from this download and paste it inside GameData so the directory path should result in GameData/addon.
- That's it, all you do now is run bf2 and you will see legacy content in the instant action menus ;)

I apologise in advance for the file size of this download, a lot of these addons were designed to be ran independently from each other and share repeating content causing a lot of bloat to occur.
In future many of the maps and content from these addons will be combined into one mod.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
- Make sure your addon folder is inside GameData.
- The game does not work properly with Discord Overlay enabled. (Black Screen)
- Multiplayer support is limited at the moment and hosting your own game is not possible, use the Officially supported dedicated servers to play Online.
- Crashes with this mod are frequent due to the instability of the current versions.

Why some maps don't have a visible name?
Some maps may have had their listings localized only for English versions of the game.
I have the same problem despite the game being in english.
do i just put these in addons?

Very good! I noticed a problem, blaster bolts come from the player models chest when standing up.
I can get this mod to run pretty well nowadays, but it still will eventually crash. I'm starting to think that there is some sort of memory leak, or something, but I need more time to be sure. Also, I looked at event viewer, and I didn't really see anything, which is strange, except for talking about "Steam failing to interact with Windows," which I don't think is related.
is there any possibility that the graphical and audio changes will be made t the original maps and their units?

I just downloaded your mod just now, on 07/04/23 and I thought it was fantastic! But I noticed that it doesn't have the bf3 galactic civil war era in the original maps. Is it like that or did I do something wrong? Please can you help me with this, I really wanted to play with the galactic civil war era on the original maps!
I'm seeing two huds, how do I fix the issue? Also love the mod. It's nice seeing what we could have gotten. Keep up the amazing work.
I think I'm following the instructions correctly. When I open the game, the UI in the instant action is kind of screwy. Menu options are over the top of the bf3 maps. Also, the only map from bf3 selection that has any options to play is the Space demo. All the others are blank. I checked to make sure they were all in the addon folder within the game data folder, and I don't understand why that one works and not the others. Can anyone help?

this is a great mod but there is a bug on some maps where the republic award weapon is avalible at the start of the game without killing anything and there is no sound on award blaster and there is no way to disable it with the reamaster settings or is there something i overlooked or did wrong when installing the mod?
help, it says the mod is 4.9 including the starwars battle front remaster, but it isnt, the remaster ate 25+gb off my harddrive and i cant get rid of it, and i cant get legacy because it requires an additional 30gb
edit: the remaster also isnt even working, i have all the options in systings but picking them crashs the game and the visuals are 100% not the remastered ones
SO this mod works great. I have had no issues except a couple. I can't find the maps that comes with the legacy mod, I have looked in instant action and they aren't there. I see the Space demo and thats it. How do I play the legacy maps when I can't find them. Please help me
