Star Wars BattleFront Commander, is a mod based around and dedicated to Free Radicals version of Swbf3, with adding small gameplay features from pandemic's swbf2
It's been awhile since i have uploaded any sorta update for this mod and i thought i'd do it now that i'm back in full swing of working on the mod and will be on track for a late fall early winter release of it unless things don't go as plan from now until then cause as everyone knows life is unpredictable.
Anyways these 2 units i wanted to add to the mod and seeing as how i had the shadow stormtrooper finished back when i finished up the stormtroopers i don't see why i didn't but anyways they are here now and as for the Evo Trooper his weapon isn't final i am going to be removing it soo and adding in the FA-3 flechette launchers and a variant with the T-21 light repeating blasters and E-11 blaster rifles. There is also a shadow version of this unit coming and i will post screenshots soon.

Your mod adds the variety of infantry units that I've always been looking for, and I love it.
That's what i've been trying to do with my mod and it makes me sick when people say the land part of EAW/FOC sucks and space is better, i think they only say that cause they didn't have pc's the could run land battles really well.
But what i'm trying to do is add a lot of different infantry types cause in a true warzone (battlefield/battlefront) you'd probably see all different types of troopers fighting in it and not just normal looking stormtroopers/rebels and well same for the republic but sadly not for the CIS.
I completely agree! The variety of units is what would make the gameplay great because you would have to use their strengths and weaknesses to change the game.
Ground combat has so much more potential than space combat which I think can only go so far. There's only so much you can do with spaceships shooting at each other.
I agree with sinay because of what I've seen in other mods such as the Thrawns Revenge where mainly focused on space and everything is kinda the same. It's really all about shields. When the shield goes down the ship is very vulnerable.
I might even go one step further and say having each soldier be its own unit. It allows for a lot more micro management and use of the terrain, and it's just pretty damn fun.
Yeah but all the health bars would cause lag and you could forget/leave some of them behind when it comes to big battles.
Yes it takes away probably 5 to 10 fps in the game by doing that and probably even more on older computers,that's why most of the bigger squads of infantry don't have that features but the ones that come in a squad of 6 do.
These units are hardcore, as is any mod with them.
I have been meaning to ask you where can I produce the Shadow and Evo Troopers in the galaxy? All I need is the planet name so I can try to take over it. By the way great mod dude I enjoy every little bit of detail in these models. If lucasarts was still active i'm sure you could easily be the top animator/programmer prospect. Overall keep up the good work!
I'm not sure who else has noticed this yet but these units appear to be missing from the mod. Also, the cis lander and one of the clone sniper units appeared to be missing their textures. I think it was an arc trooper but I'm not sure.
