I actually suspected you'd come up with this when you announced you cracked the MVAM and saucer separation, you guys are damn talented.
I'm seriously wondering how you guy's worked around the whole ship animation thing. Thought that was impossible.
You use particle effects. Animations aren't new, just that STA3 is the only team that has put serious effort into this (well only one that has the capacity).
for another team that have made good use of it, check out the blue planet mod for sins Rebellion.

my first thought too was "no freaking way lol"
Idea: give intrepids a speed boost tech in grav wells and use this animation, this way it's not only seen just before a warp.
I wish the STO model was as accurate as this....
