My earliest memory of the Constellation-class is me as a child getting the Micromachine one that was for some reason golden...
And for the longest time I thought the ship was actually colored like that, until I finally saw it in TNG.
So... golden Constellation when? ;D

Ah i used to have those micro machines, and i had a bronze one, along with a bronze galaxy and miranda. Oh i miss those micro machine sets
Ah yes, the golden Constellation. I had it also.
It was actually modelled on the model of the Stargazer in Picard's ready room.
One of my favourite Starfleet ships.
I feel like a bit of a jerk for saying this, as someone has obviously put a lot of work into this model, but I can't tell the difference between this one and the one being used presently.
It's a work in progress. You'll see the differences clear as day once Max textures this baby up.
To be honest I think the changes can only be subtle because all the models have been so fantastic that you would have to pick them apart with your eyes to see the differences in the updates.
