Is it real or an illusion? ;)

It's quite real. The Husnock are already in the mod as one of the more threatening neutral races.

The species are, but not their creations.

^ This.

It's pure fan theory, but we came up with the explanation that perhaps while the Husnock were destroyed, their ships remained, and under computer control are still extremely dangerous.

I always wondered what happened to all their stuff after they got exterminated. Is Nemesis going to work with single player? I'm a little bit unsure because of all the talk about multiplayer balance.

Here's my theory, which became our justification for adding the Husnock: Moddb.com

As for Nemesis, it will handle single player just fine. Nemesis is just a different version of the Final Frontier, except it will focus more on competetive combat than exploration. As ambitious as TFF is we acknowledge that multiplayer games in particular could be quite slow.

In short -
TFF: Strategic. Vast maps and great variety. Explore the galaxy and build an empire.

Nemesis: Tactical. Maps focused on keeping gameplay competetive. Seize important assets and resources, hold advantageous positions and fight off your enemies.

Everyone is doing Husnock these days, haha.

STO just released a Husnock ship, and the next Titan novel focuses on what happened to Husnock.

"They came in a spaceship so big you could see it up in orbit. They took our world apart piece by piece... Fires lit the sky. There was thunder, unbelievable thunder. The ground never stopped shaking."
