I just started playing this... by the way, it is amazing!A question, though, I found some bases saying "cannot be scuttled" etc, along with "can be captured" and I cant figure out how to do it! for reference these are mining bases in nebulae.and, if I may offer a suggestion, the map with a random script... including a random amount of stars? =+)great job!

you need to build a ship with the crew extractor ability

Federation, for example, get that on their colony frigate

that ability is what lets you capture those types of mining bases, or ferengi trade ports etc

Each race either has a scout ship or colony vessel that has the capability to capture neutrals.

Off of the top of my head (feel free to correct me), the vessels are:

Federation: Robin-class Colony Ship
Klingons: Nuq'Duj Scout Ship
Romulans: Thalen Colony Vessel
Borg: Planetary Assimilator
Cardassians: Khora-class Colony Ship

It turns out for the Cardassian, the Tarin-Class has the crew extractor ability. Not the Khora-class Colony Ship.
