Hi all, Please find below the updated version of STA3 to work with the Steam 1.84 release of Rebellion and with the Good Old Games download some of you may have. Don't forget to re-apply Large Address Aware if you haven't already as the update will have removed the LAA check. In order to play online you may need to delete your user settings file. To do that go to C:/Users/yourname/Documents/My Games/Ironclad Games/Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion/Setting. Find the file called rebellion.user.setting and delete it. You'll need to change your graphics again to the desired level but online play should work for you. Enjoy. The Gul

I'm having problems when I play it on 1.84 update every time a new ship comes its only in 1 blank colour and when I change graphics it sorts itself out however it happens again if I spawn a new unit

The answer will likely be no, because adding more titans would be going out on a limb in terms of canonicity even moreso than has already been done. We do not want to add titans for the sake of adding titans. I think the current titan set does a good job of representing each faction's largest and most powerful ships. Add too many, and it dilutes their impact, both in gameplay and fluff.

yeah maybe for TFF just having 2 titan's per faction EX:one TNG era and one TMP era. Starship schematic database has tons of ships from star trek with images to show them. Shipschematics.net

It would be horrendously pointless. Titans should be extremely rare ships anyways, it's unlikely the Federation, or any other faction, were looking to construct a wide variety of ships that would be considered 'dreadnoughts' in the TNG era. Considering the Galaxy class is a "battleship", and amongst the largest ships of the era (of any faction!), again, I can't see there being even half that number of classes of ships in the Fed fleet larger than it. Since we also see that ships increase in size and volume by a significant margin from TMP to TNG, we also can rule out the possibility of there being ships of earlier eras considered the equivalent of TNG Dreadnoughts. Even an SFC1/2/OP dreadnought would probably not be considered a dreadnought in TNG era, since even the Mars/ Nebuchadnezzar class BB is at best about twice the volume of a Connie refit (and it, like most super battleships of the era, had problems anyways). In acceptable beta fanon/canon, you have the Excalibur NX-90000...and not much else.

But what would be the justification? A cheaper and weaker titan is basically a capital ship. And I don't see how it could be justified fluff-wise.

i just want to say thank you so much for this mod! i bought rebellion specifically for it and after 592 hours i still haven't played rebellion its self. this is the best trek game I've played (and ive played a lot)
and you have released a fix for the new update within 24 hours, amazing. so now i have the gog version i dont have to worry about updates preventing me from playing :) Thank You!
i must ask one more thing of you how ever....a galaxy x dread with an op spinal phaser lance, while i realise it is from an alternate timeline, it would make my pon farr arrive early!

that would be down to their original creators, I'm afraid that I can't guarantee it. There are some changes to the maps that will need to be updated for any map packs out there and anything that adds certain abilities that spawn ships or modifies the player files will also need looking at by the respective authors.

Im getting a missing line error on start up. says lines are missing in SteamMainMenuScreen. lines 57-66 or something. Also, whenever I go to multiplayer it says "Disco0nnected from ICO". Is this a mod issue or game? I already tried tunring off firewall.

so i did everything right and when i first enable it it works. but if i want to use a different mod or go back to the original game it crashes and says minidump help please.so i uninstall and then reinstall.

You have to change the Enabledmods folder when you change mods, if you want the normal game set the enabled mod count to 0 or just change the Star trek file name to the mod you want to use and change the enabled mods count to match, most mods from here seem to have a enabled mods folder included with the download

I seem to have run into a crash issue whenever a Partisan Uprising occurs. I just downloaded and installed SOSE 1.84 and the STA3 patch above. Installation was fine and everything was working well in-game until about 2 hours in when the uprising occurred the first time and the game immediately crashed. After the crash, I fired it up again, reloaded from the most recent auto-save and was able to resume play for about 10 minutes before the uprising event happened and it crashed again. Each time it crashes I've heard the Yellow Alert voice announcement and I see the event message in the bottom left, but then the game just stops and eventually quits to desktop.

Don't think this one's LAA Atlanta, it may be an issue with the entity that relates to a particular races partisan event if the game's been going for 2 hours. LAA usually causes crashes very soon after startup of a game.

It appears to occur in conjunction with the Cardassians.

In my game it's planet called Mempa which appears to be one of the Romulan faction's home planet. In my case it is the Cardassians (in Dominion form) causing the uprising. I managed to get into that sector, took a look at the planet in question, and it showed the "Friendly Culture will soon overtake this planet" message. The uprising didn't occur on that particular run, unfortunately.

However, I've created a ZIP that includes the three dump files when the event occured and a copy of the game save. I'm guessing you probably already have this info, but just in case it's helpful here's a link:

Luckily I was only 2 hours into that first game, so no real loss there. I'm just glad I didn't come across it 30 hours in. Oh and I forgot to mention it before, but LAA is active on the new executable.

Hi all,

Thanks for the prompt update however, I am now running into all sorts of issues from blocky rendering of ship explosions, random crashes and the like. Oh and my command ships have a glowing cloud around them?

On the previous edition all setting were maxed out and was running sweet as can be. It never once crashed, which is amazing for a MOD. Hats off to you all, you had done a better job than some of the games developers I paid!! Looking foraward to a bug fix.

I’ve drop all the setting down but issues continue.

Am I alone in this issue?

Try reapplying LAA to your .exe. When a new version is deployed, sometimes your .exe is replaced and therefore doesn't remember the flags you set prior to the update. Make sure that the .exe is not set to "read only" when you do this.

A few things to check/try:

- What are the contents of your enabledmods.txt? Are you running any add-ons?

- Do you have the Steam version of Sins? If so, verify integrity of game cache. Be sure to reapply LAA to your Sins.exe after you do this.

- Try deleting the following folder, usually found at C:/Users/*yournamehere*/Documents/My Games/Ironclad Games/Sins Of A Solar Empire Rebellion/Setting

It will require you to set up your settings again, but it may work.

It seems like your mod folder is missing something, or is referencing the wrong version of the mod. I would delete whatever "star-trek-armada-3" folder you currently have in your Mods-Rebellion 1.84 folder, and re-extract a clean zipped STA3 1.3 (1.84 update) you downloaded to that location.
