S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - PreSky is a Total Conversion mod for Clear Sky, set before the events in Clear Sky begin. Its goal is to provide a fresh new game experience from the point of a regular Stalker within the Zone. This basically means that the mod has complete and total freeplay from the start. PreSky combines some of the best elements and ideas from all 3 games in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to produce a brand new gameplay experience within the Zone, with the sole intention of creating a more realistic Stalker experience that aims to make the player believe they are a Stalker. There is no main storyline progression to unlock new areas, or new items for the player. The Zone goes on living regardless of the actions of the player, with a virtually unrestricted alife that makes the Zone seem even more alive and real than it did before. The only storyline is the one you create for yourself.

Rules for submitting bugs.
From the bugtrap client (if one appears), click on Preview, then once the next window has loaded, click on xray_*user*.log, scroll to the bottom, and copy the FATAL ERROR section. DO NOT copy and paste the "xrengine.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "c:\program files\deep silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\bin\xrCore.dll" at 001B:1001B944, xrDebug::backend()+164 byte(s)" sort of error, as this tells me nothing about what caused the error. If the bugtrap client doesn't appear, you then need to locate your error log (on Vista/Win & its located C:/Users/Public Documents/STALKER-STCS/logs, with steam it should be located in the CS directory, in appdata\logs, and I don't know about XP). If you cannot find it, search your system forxray_*user*.log, where *user* is the name that appears in auto/quick saves.

Also, if the error from the xray_*user*.log file looks like this:
Expression : fatal error
Function : CScriptEngine::lua_error
File : E:\priquel\sources\engine\xrServerEntities\script_engine.cpp
Line : 180
Description :
Arguments : LUA error: ...\deep silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky\gamedata\scripts\_g.script:975: bad argument #2 to 'format' (string expected, got nil)

Then please copy the line above the FATAL ERROR section, as this tells me the file that crashed. This line should have ! [LUA][ERROR] in front of it.

Just following these rules helps me to find the error faster, as I don't have to ask you to go back and haul out your xray_*user*.log, and pull up the error section, and wait for you to post it here.

Thanks
