SourceForts is a Half Life 2: Deathmatch mod where Combine and Rebels face off in capture-the-flag action with a big twist. Players build bases and other structures with blocks and plates in the "build phase" to protect themselves and their team's flag (which is actually a ball), and then duke it out and try to capture the enemy's flag in the "combat phase". Once the combat phase has ended, it's back to build, where players can repair, improve, and change their creations to ready them for the next combat phase.

SourceForts v1.2 is on it's way, I've done some beta tests and it's going along nicely.

SourceForts v1.2 is on it's way, I've done some beta tests and it's going along nicely. In the update, there will be:

  • New Maps and updates to the new one
  • Fort Sites - No asshats unfreezing your fort
  • Flares and sparks to show when something is frozen
  • Balanced melee weapons. The stunstick was more powerful than the crowbar
  • Longer sprint time
  • Outputs/Inputs on the logic_gametimer for when the Build time and Fight time starts, also to force the changes
  • Rotation on the gravity gun

Along with that, there's some bug fixes:

  • Fixed weapon animations on the freezer
  • Objects not activating until touched when unfrozen

I've also already got some ideas for v1.3

  • CTF - Oh my god! An objective!
  • Weapon buying - Pay in frags, keep the weapons for the whole fight mode
  • Turrets - I'll give it a try

While testing the flares, I got a bit carried away: Click me!
