“What would happen if we applied Earth 2150 to Homeworld?” -- Slipstream: The Price of Freedom is just that. Or, at least, was supposed to be just that. What started as a multiplayer combat simulator, ended as the first entry into the Slipstream universe.

But if they just Hyperspace in... how can you say that's where the shipyard went?

Meaning it's no longer going to be in the starting fleet by default. Shipyards are going to be beefed up into fortress's. Since ships need to be built in larger shipyards. Besides, SInce it only takes 3.14 seconds for a ship to go from one side of the galaxy to another, it makes it possible to make a ship quickly at a depot in orbit, then slipstream it to the front.
