About the english version:

First of all:

I didn't touch the english translation. Only the weight bonuses for the suits were added.
I'm no native speaker and so I decide, to keep my fingers off it.

If anybody has a proper translation, or is willing to do it... contact me, I will add it!

Some files which were translated were copied back in this patch. Thats all.

OGSM changes:

  • Freeplay after the storyline
  • Pripyat unterground is back
  • complete rework of the last battle at the NPP

The mod itself comes from the original creators, team OGSM. I've just changed some things and made the german translation. So all the credits belong to: OGSM Team!

Installation:

Nothing special, like every mod for stalker. Extract the "gamedata" folder to your game folder. I also added a fixed "fsgame.ltx". It is responsible for two things:

1) Game will be started with the mod

2) User related stuff is going to your game folder

This means stalker will creat a folder namend by "appadata" in your game folder. There will be all the stuff, like sceenshots, logs and savegames. The reason behind it? SSD's! Most folks have a SSD for the system and I don't want stalker to spam my SSD with all the stuff.

Start the game, choose your settings and go for it!

Me and Stalker Clear Sky:

I have to admit I didn't like CS for a long time. The fact that the AI eats bullets like stalkers drink vodka... was quite depressing! I was finally able to changed this. And since this moment I really like the game. And thats something I want to share. This mod was only for private use but I decided to realease it.

And here some little advises and tipps for the mod which I think can be usefull for some of you.

Bullet eating AI

As mentioned above, I've changed this. If you will aim for the head of your opponent, he will die. Simple as that.

USB-Sticks for upgrades

The new upgradesystem came with CS. It was quite a pain in the ass. You weren't able to find all sticks, you could only sell them to the one mechanic who needs it and so on...

In OGSM you have the ability to sell these sticks to only ONE mechanic. He will be your man for upgrades now.

You can find the sticks on several dead boddies in the zone. So have sharp eyes für grey dots on the minimap.

No more running around and finding the right mechanic guy. -> Nice!

Documents

You will find them also on dead boddies in the zone. As soon as you pick them up you will get an entry for your PDA. After this you can sell them to any of the fraction leaders. But keep an eye on the price they will offer you...

Scar's PDA

In your inventory you will find a PDA. When activated its like the one in SoC. Here you will find Scar's diary, entries about mutants, anomalies and so on.It will be update quite fast if you kil a mutant for example. Lets say a boar was killed. You will get an entry for it in your PDA as soon as its dead.

Suits, carryweight und weight general

When you start a new game you will be able to carry 35kg. Now the panic starts, eh? Don't worry I've done something to make sure, you will be overburden every few steps. All outfits will have a weight bonus. This is realted to the visible bags and backpack's the suits have.

So a novice cs outfit, with all its bags and the bachpack will allow you to carry 10kg more. If you manage to find a jellyfish, it will give you 5kg more. Now you will have about 50kg for the start. I guess thats ok.

Bigger and more expensive outfits will allow you to caryy even more. Scientific suits are quite bad for collectors. They only have a bonus of 5kg because they got no bags or something like this. Bandits are even more screwed... with their little pockets on their leather jacket they can only effort to carry 3kg more.

So exos will be the thing you are looking for. Especially the stalker exo. It ist redesigned and will allow you to carry much more than other outfits. Find some artefacts and you will be at 140-160kg.

But his will take its time.

I also changed the weight of the ammo and its capacity. This will also help not to increase the carryweight to fast.

Some changes from the OGSM:

Traders can offer you "special items" like big weapons or outfits. If you don't like the stuff the trader got, give him a hint and he will send you a message as soon as he gets new stuff.

And stalker might offer you "random tasks". These are mission like deliver this, get me that, find this, kill...

Stashes

You know good stashes from CS? Well... forget them! All stashes were redesigned and all spawned items won't be the same anymore.

Bugs

I found one... don't know if its a vanilla bug. Sometimes Lebedev and his guys are to stupid to cross the lowered bridge in the red forrest. Just go on to limansk! The task will update and you are able to continue your journey.

Does anyone know of any alternate download location for this mod? I tried downloading ten times, no luck, and I'm about to give up. But I'd really like to play this.

Does anyone else get a graphically corrupted menu screen? In-game is fine, it's just the menu screen that looks weird.

I'm using the GOG version.

Edit: the Steam version worked fine. :)

So far, it seems to be a very buggy mod, sadly. I applied the hotfix but the trader still doesn't issue me with any equipment.
