This is pack of mods for Fall of the Samurai expansion. It greatly expands game by adding new units, technologies, buildings unit formations and much more...

All mods are fully modular and you can delete any of them separately, if don't like some of them.

Installation:

1. Download archive,

2. Go to - C:\Users\(your PC's name)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\scripts and put file with name "user.script" in to this folder. If there is already file in the folder, overwrite it with new one.

3. Go to - Your installation path \Total War - Shogun 2\data and put all other files in this folder.

4. Enjoy the game :)

Expansion Mod

This is pack of mods for Fall of the Samurai expansion. It greatly expands game by adding new units, technologies, buildings unit formations and much more...

After so much years I found time for this mod to update, so lets start part by part alphabetically...

mods_Expansion_Abilities
- Adds new abilities to the units. Like new formations, special abilities. Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Additional_Buildings
- As it says, adds new buildings to the game. I not recommending to remove this part, because it is one of the core of the mod and in update 1.4 many units are unlocked through new buildings.

mods_Expansion_Additional_Units
- Adds new units. Can be removed safely any time, but I not recommending to remove this part, because it is one of the core of the mod.


mods_Expansion_Bayonets
- Adds bayonets to the line infantry units and also pike wall ability to this units (to use bayonets). Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Character_Skills
- Expands skill trees of the Foreign Veteran, Geisha, Shinobi, Ishinshishi, Shinsengumi. Can be removed safely any time.



mods_Expansion_Clear_Dry_Weather
- Removes fog (not fog of war) on battlefield. Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Food
- Brings back Food Mechanic from the original game. Food provides farms and through technology. Cities consuming it. Quantity of food provided can be found in city panel. Can be removed safely any time.


mods_Expansion_More_Campaign_Years
- Year has 12 months. Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Naval_Units_Rebalance
- Rebalances and adds abilities to naval units, to make them more unique and versatile. Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Russian_Translation
- Does what written :)

mods_Expansion_Smoke
- Adds smoke and explosion effects. Also removes projectile trails for firearm and artillery units. Game must work without but, I not recommending to remove this part.

mods_Expansion_Sound_Fix
- Fix the braking sound of units, caused by modding (like cannon sound of arrows).

mods_Expansion_Sound_Improved
- Adds new sound to the modern firearms. Can be removed safely any time.

mods_Expansion_Technology
- Rebalances and adds new technologies to the tech tree. This is the core of the mod. v1.4 compare to the v1.3 is less chaotic, overcrowded and more looks like vanilla Shogun 2 tech tree. I not recommending to remove this part. Game will not work without it as it should.



Caution!
- When you are removing files (or modules), you also need to remove that file name listed in "user.script" file (Can be edited with text editor). Without that game will crash.

Installation:

1. Download archive,

Crash on 42 turn, when the ai player moves (always same faction, just lag for a second then crash). Sadly, great mod, but idk how to play when the game can break at any moment.
May be anyone can help me repair my save?)

About western powers problem. Remove mods_Expansion_Food file (also remove it from scripts) and it will work. There is a problem with Food mechanics I think.

Can you fix the trading with western powers problem ? I play Satsuma but when i builded trading port i cannot having trade agreement with western powers ? Is this the mod mechanic or bug ?

the problem seems to be either with the character skills or naval re balance expansions. Trading works with them disabled.

Trading with Foreign powers seems to not be working. Maybe it's something with the trading ports?

Testing as Saga I have found that the foreign trade ends withing the first 5 turns.

Also tested this with the same result. All the foreign power "clans" are destroyed after turn 5 for some reason

Hi, great mod. It's just that most of the times my Parrot gun and Armstrong gun cannot fire and instead wander around aimlessly. Can you please fix it?
