I think he just asked about the lack of specific "markings" indicating they are from the CIS.
You know, like the common red star.
Their uniforms are a different color, easily identifiable.
We'll get another picture up to show better detail, Solistx didnt' even tell me about this, I have the CIS Soldier files, well most of them, but we haven't finished the body armor yet. as far as I know
We aren't going to put red stars or insignia on soldiers, their BDU camo patterns will be distinct enough to not need that kind of thing. And Elite units will have other distinct features, like colored berets.
Why are they so dark?
It's just the shadows, they're not that dark, On my profile there are a few pictures of them from an earlier stage. Mind you the ones in my profile pictures aren't the latest ones, they just had placeholder body armors back then.

It's just a distortion, something to do with the way it was modelled, it's not too extreme, it's not hugely noticable anyway.
it's probably just the way you're looking at it, because im not even sure if the distortion is there anymore, we had an anomoly with it a few months ago I think.
Berets will be? If the recent (well 1-2 years ago) there have been changes in regards to the Russian army berets in vkurse about this? (sorry for bad english)
We have a couple of berets for them, Black, Red and Light Blue.
We're not concerned if they're shape is not totally accurate because on all accounts we've made a lot of changes that are fictional / alternate history, etc.
Black Berets are given to some regular Army soldiers.
Red are for the Army Spetsnaz, and Lt Blue will be for the VDV.
Spetsnaz and VDV will be two of the factions Elite tiers, VDV Will be faster while Spetsnaz will be tougher *more health*. There will also be A Vympel Unit squad, but they are in a different category.

Error black berets are not given the infantry!
They are given only to the Marine Corps in the Army.
SL is based on a future Fictional conflict, this is irrelevant.
Berets are not going to be common anyway. the Majority of CIS Soldier breeds wear a variety of helmets.
To avoid errors from the taken for CIS just writing this.
Black beret - Marine Corps. Riot police, armored troops, SWAT.
Blue Beret - VDV
Green beret - pogranichnki (after all the recent reform of the Army)
Gray takes - the Interior Ministry.
Green Beret - Special Forces
