- MK16 SCAR-L *Issued to Special Forces and Elite Units*

SMG/Sidearms
- MP5N
- KAC PDW

LAND VEHICLES
NAMA's vehicles are almost exclusivley of US Origin, The NAMA Motor pool is also not as diverse as other factions, most of the variety is in IFVs and Lighter, while it maintains only a few tank class vehicles

TANKS

Heavy Tanks
- M1A3 "Most Modern and Advanced Tank on the Continent, Little visual difference from it's predecessors other than different paint and insignias, but Boasts stronger Armor, higher speed, and a more powerful gun. Costly and rightly so"
- M1A2 "Good all around Battletank, high firepower, strong armor but low speed
- Leopard 2A6C "From the Canadian Army's small Number of Modern Battletanks aquired from Germany in the 2000s, kept as specialzed armor units today. these tanks are draped in bush and foliage and are often used as defensive vehicles, Letting the more plentiful Abrams tanks do the General duties, Although are more than capable of offensive roles

Medium Tanks

- M1A1 - "Plentiful, medium armor, firepower and slow/medium speed"
- Leopard 2A4C " Another German Built Tank used by the Canadians, mostly used as an Auxilary role but boasts higher armor strength than most medium tanks.
- M60A3 "Upgraded and Modernized Cold war era tank, Best intended for support roles among infantry or IFV Formations, in all other cases an Abrams or Leopard should be used"

Light Tanks

- M8 Mobile Gun System "Light/medium armor, high mobility and a deadly cannon, dedicated tank destroyer"

WHEELED IFV/APC
- LAV III "Heavily armored and a strong armament from Canada, best IFV with Wheels that NAMA has to offer
-LAV-25
- Stryker MGS "8WD Strker variant with a large Caliber gun capable of eliminating some Tanks, can double as a tank destroyer when necessary"
- Stryker " Plain Stryker armed only with a roof mounted Machine gun, Nonetheless offers good protection"
- Cougar HE 6WD "A Larger 6 Wheeled version of an American infantry truck, used as a Heavy APC

TRACKED
-M2A3 Bradley "More heavily armoured version of M2A2, Suffers slight mobility decrease due to its weight, no armament difference to M2A2"
-M2A2 Bradley "NAMA's regular tracked IFV, Medium/high speed, good firepower and moderate protection"
- M113 "Weak but cheap, it's machinegun only armament limits it to only being effective as a transport and not a fighting vehicle, armoured trucks are often a better solution, Albeit costlier"

SELF PROPELLED ARTILLERY

- M270 "Long range Rocket artillery, can deliver a barrage of high explosives, but is utterly defenseless and is practically made of glass when attacked with anthing stronger than a grenade

- M109 "Heavy Artillery, moderate firerate, firepower and armor, low speed. Fills all the needs for mobile artillery"

- Stryker Mortar Carrier "A Stryker carrying a large caliber mortar in it's rear"

TRUCKS, ARMOURED COMBAT VEHICLES, ETC
- MRAP "Heavily armoured truck providing high protection for onboard passengers"

- M1151 "Up Armoured Humvee, general purpose transport"

- Humvee "Regular Humvee without the extra armor, more affordable, but less firepower and obviously not as tough"

- FMVT "General purpose cargo/carrier Truck"

EMPLACED WEAPONRY

- M777 Howitzer

- Emplaced HMGs and AT Launchers were Scrapped

Wouldn't call the Lav III a very strong or powerfull vehicle. 50 cal will make it swiss chese and it doesn't have much firepower either.

What Would you suggest then?, the LAV-25 is a lighter variant of the LAV-III, and most of the equipment we are giving this faction is from the US Army, not Marine Corps.

Generally the most ideal IFV is one that uses an autocannon like a BTR or a LAV, Bushmaster, 2A42, Etc. This faction doesnt have a large selection of IFVs, and the LAV III Is simply the most versitile of what we have given them. This faction doesnt have the large variety of different vehicles that say the CIS does, instead of having a bunch of different variants all specialized, NAMA Uses vehicles that are multipurpose.

Also I dont want anyone to think that there was Bias going on when These were written, It wasnt put to the top just because it's from My country, personally I'm unimpressed by most of my country's Military hardware as it's most of the time American Clones, or Bought from Germans.

Unless a more practical alternative is found, it will stay the way as is. Keep in mind too that practically every vehicle in every faction will have a lot of extra armor, whether it be thicker armor in general, or various kinds of added armor like ERA Bricks, Cage Protectors, Crude Steel plates, Or just regular external plates on the hull and turrets.

I see, you still haven't used the German Puma IFV, I think it would be a great addition to the NAMA team, although not realistic, but you could just say that Canadians bought Pumas to serve alongside Leopards because the Lav25/III got phased out and just wasn't simply good enough. And just move back the Lav III down as a lightly armored, cheper alternative.

Because now, when you look at the plans, everyone have nice strong apc's, and Caddies here are stuck with old equipment.

Imho, Nama looks like the weakest team, plenty of cold war stuff.

We looked at the Puma, for Europe actually, but when I saw the production years on it It was immediatley thrown out, it was made in the 70s-80s, why have something like that when you have something like the VBCI that is much more recent. The Puma was just too old when there were plenty of Modern alternatives,

From vehicles, I see only a few old vehicles, the M113, M60A3, M551 and possibly the Leopard 2a4 but I dont think I agree on the latter are the only truly Obsolete vehicles.

Sure things like the M1A1 and M2A2 Bradley were made in the 80s but those particular models are still effective today, even though they both have upgraded counterparts today

The thing to remember is that we are going to make each faction balanced, but that doesn't necessarily mean that each faction works the same. NAMA For example has several units that are either formidable enough to not need alternatives, or the units can multitask effectivley enough to fill more than one role. Whereas the CIS for example is probably the polar opposite, while they have some Staple vehicles like the T-90MS and T-84 Oplot for Tanks, they have more Wheeled and Tracked IFVs than some factions have tanks in total, The CIS has a lot of vehicles that are best suited to a single role.

* Continued*

M2A3 Vs the BTR Series for example.

The M2A3 has an armament of an autocannon, which is kind of the defacto default weapon for modern IFVs today. A machine gun and some Built on AT Launchers.

The BTR-3U, BTR-4 and BTR-94 are all specialized, the BTR-90 is the only one that really multipurposes, while the BTR-80 is just generic and unflashy.

As Ideas come along we will add them, although this list is looking pretty promising, we have the basics, and the US and Canadian militaries arent planning on making a new tank or anything anytime soon, there are some future vehicle designs IRL that have been looked at but not decided on

Also, the possibility that the M551 Sheridan being cut is pretty high, Solistx frankly didnt like it, but on the other hand wanted to keep things like the T-55 For the CIS, So that's why the Sheridan was thrown on here, Frankly we just dont have any other ideas for a light tank. and we want there to be at least one light tank per faction that isnt just a tank destoryer

EDIT***

I didn't get to erase it in time,

I actually got the Puma confused with something else, the Spähpanzer Luchs for some reason. I Don't blame myself though, Germany has been naming it's armoured vehicles after Wild Cats since the 30s

Anyway I looked at it, the Canadian army is thinking of getting it anyway, but we want to keep the number of European Origin vehicles to a minimum, another alternative is to go in the protoype/fictional design direction. The US Army Ground Combat Vehicle is an idea

While I was digging around my house looking for something else, I stumbled upon a book I've had since I was in School, it was simply called "Tanks" and has a pretty detailed feature of 500 tanks from around the world, ranging from WW1 to 2003 *What was considered modern in 2003, as that was the publishing date*

I've found the Following, Tell me if any of these seem interesting. Just because something was "never put into production" is irrelevant, Our story is purley fictional so we can put whatever we want in the game.

Many of these are uncommon or unknown to most people, search them up yourselves

- 120S "AKA M60-2000" Export market designed, Never went into full production but still modern enough. Basically an M1A1 combined with an M60. (Medium Tank Possibility)

- Cadillac Gage Stingray, Light Tank Possibility *I favor replacing the Sheridan with this*

- Jaguar, Was a joint US/Chinese project, protoype models were finished but the project was abandoned due to political issues between the two countries. Medium tank possibility for NAMA OR China

- VMF 5 , was a joint US/UK Project, was a light tank, cant get any pictures of it outside of this book, 105mm gun, looks like a cross between a leopard 2 and a merkava, with a generic light tank chasis

But the point is we want to keep this faction's vehicles limited to American and Canadian origin.

I'd say go for the Cadillac Gage Stingray, looks quite futuristic and is unique. The mini abrams wanabe m60 is just too much like an Abrams, there's already m1a3,2,1. Couldn't find anything bout the other 2.

The Lav 600 is also a interesting vehicle, although you have the stryker mgs already.

Anyway we arent going to worry about this faction right now, this was soley for preview purposes and a reference for ourselves to use so we didnt forget when we start working on them

When we start working on this faction (Probably around May-June) we will start discussing possible changes.

For the meantime we are only working on Europe and the CIS is the only other faction that we are making distinct plans for right now. We hope to have a release around Q2 2012 if we are lucky.

The reason this is so late is because we want to completley finish the CEC and CIS Factions, But there is always the possibility that we may release a beta with just the infantry units, but this is unlikley as Solistx expressed that he wanted to work on map props next, then european vehicles. Moving to CIS Infantry would require a complete attention shift and we want to stick to one faction at a time
