When posting problems or Bugs in EoC I need to Know.
1. Singleplayer or Multiplayer
2. Normal Version or Steam Version
3 .Windows version XP / VISTA / WINDOWS 7 / 8
4. Your graphic card details (If its a visual problem)
5. What other mods or model packs you may be using
6. If you have changed anything in the mods PK.3 files

Hi there.

I'm having this text problem here, in Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Gameplay works fine but the menus are just trial and error. I am using the Steam version on Windows 7. I am using no model packs. Other mods I have installed are Movie Battles 2 and Movie Duels 2. I have not changed anything with the PK.3 files.

Thats a FONT problem

Ive never seen this one before.
Usually caused by changing or adding different (unsupported) fonts.

This one is caused by the moviebattles2 MB_BaseAssets .pk3 which is installed in your base folder.In the mb_BaseAssets .pk3 is a folder called "Fonts" these fonts are individual to MB2 and are not supported by EoCIII. They overwrite the original vanilla fonts.

Remove the MB_BaseAssets .pk3 from your base folder when playing EoCIII.And put them back in your base folder when playing MB2.

Funny story.I was accused of stealing MB2 Fonts once and using them in EoCIII,I guess this proves that conspiracy wrong.:rolleyes:

Bugs from the improvement proposals-list:

- There is a bug with the "server command overflow" automatic ban, players sometimes get kicked from the server by for no
reason and get the message "server command overflow". Please remove this automatic ban system completely.
- Sometimes you get heavy damage or die instant when falling to the ground, even from small distances.
This often happens when you get pushed or pulled. This damage should be lowered a lot.
- The Gametype-Mode "Duel" is bugged, people can´t join the fight and the game often crashes
- Stances in the Force menu are interchanged
- There is a bug with Force Pull, when the ememy is close to you and you use it, he seems to "stuck" on the ground for a couple
of seconds and he can´t move. It sometimes happens with force push, too
- Gunners are able to fire when knocked down, we spotted that at some bots. That should be fixed
- Force Grip is bugged, sometimes it can not be activated even when the enemy is weakened
- If you kill someone with a moveable object, it´s not your kill, the enemy just dies -> the same problem occurs sometimes
when you force push someone into a hole.

-I didn't see "server command overflow" at all, maybe it's a clientside issue?
-Heavy damage of the fall is calculated wierd because of when knocked down you are falling on your back and it's multiplying the damage accordingly, but yeah, insta-death from fall of a feet high is a LOL.
-The duel mode is not bugged, it's a JKA thing and it have to be set up manually all the time.
-This Force Pull bug occurs for me only when i play with bots lol
-Gunners are able to fire when knocked down should be there coz Jedi/Sith can use the force when knocked down too, it's ok with me and realistic. I mean, you still can pull the trigger when you are lying on the ground, can't you? :D

I'm having a problem install EOC III.

-both single and multiplayer
-steam version
-I have my steam library on an external harddrive connect by usb3.0.
-MacBook pro running windows 7 bootcamp
-no other mods installed

When I try to launch EOC I get a OpenAL32.dll missing error. I've reinstalled both Jedi Academy and EOC. But it doesn't fix it.

Hi....there's a problem when I force jump or dodge with down or even roll forward, the character model bugs out and does a weird animation like this: Picpaste.com Oh and any tutorials on how to Saber properly? or do the special moves?

Thats definitely a Install error.The mod is not using the EoCIII _Humanoid folder which means its not using the new animations and as a result it defaults to the Jesus pose.Also i see in the picture you provided its not using the correct strings from EoCIII.
There only 2 reasons this can happen.

1.You have changed some files
2.You have installed the mod incorrectly
The first thing to do is start here:

Hmmm...I didnae change any files. I did a fresh install and update patch and then ran the EOC III installer. Could it be because i don't have the Jedi Outcast files? I only have Jedi Academy Installed.

The third reason i see is the mod launched not from Evolution_of_Combat_III-mp.bat file.

So it´s just these 3 bugs left:

Hello I get this error when trying to run the game.

- Main (Neither Singer Nor Multi- Yet)
Windows XP/7
Knights of the force (Another Mod) installed, separate from the main file though.

" The program can't start because OpenAL32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. " well I did and no luck, and I don't need that stupid link from earlier that leads me to nowhere I need a real answer..... If you have an answer please don't send me a link that won't work because it's old or taken down.

Hello, I have a interesting bug:

First, I'd like to mention that I followed your instructions, and have nothing else installed that could compromise
the stability of the mod, I didn't even install the texture pack. I have the normal version of the game, running on
Windows 7 64bit Ultimate. The problem is in the multiplayer part of the mod.

When I try to play duel mode and only duel mode (in create own game or play a solo game, didn't try mp),
The map loads, and the bots are there, but when it's time to customize my profile I can't use the menus on the left,
when I click them, the screen on the right, where should be the menu for assigning force powers and classes only
flickers for a second, and I can't use it. I can't even exit the game, I have to invoke task manager and kill the process.
On the side note, the letters on the menus are slightly offset. Don't know if that's important but some descriptions are
a little hard to read.

Also, when I was playing I accidentally pressed some button and it started recording the match
(I think? There was some number at the top center of the screen).
I exited the game and now I can't create any type of game. It just freezes at the loading screen.
( I can start the mod, but can't create any maps, if I wasn't clear enough :) )
The second problem isn't a big deal, I'll just reinstall the game, but the first one is kinda annoying.

Appreciate the effort, and good luck with your mod, it's great! (And it will be even better without the bugs!)

In your Evolution of Combat folder you will see a pk3 file called Ui-EoCIII.pk3
Open this file with winrar or winzip. Inside you will see a .cfg file called Evolution.cfg
Open Evolution.cfg and at the very bottom you will see this
bind R "exec record"bind L "exec stop"

Change the bind keys to whatever you want or delete them to remove the record function.
The record function is for making demos or videos of your game however if it isnt correctly turned off ,IE but using the stop function .It can cause some small problems ingame.

I have installed the game into Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Jedi Academy/Game Data. I went into Steam and set the Launch Option to

+set fs_game "Evolution of Combat III' It will not run.

I followed your instructions to the letter.
