This mod, having been in development since release aims to bring back the epic feel and look of its predecessor- Forged Alliance. By scaling down most units and tweaking others, the overall look becomes much more impressive and realistic. Its not a walk down the street to the enemy's base anymore, but a marathon. This mod also brings back the drain-system of economy that Forged Alliance had to make the game much more strategic and fun.

Sorry to say this, but the FA one looks much better. The one in SC2 has an extremly blurry texture and the light effects look bland and out of place. Overall, you can see that it's not made for SC2 and doesn't fit with the game's visuals at all.
Though you've also got to take into account that none of the FA effects / shaders were carried forward when porting this and that much work can be done on my end, they do use the exact same textures, it appears to be AF for that, I appreciate your feedback, although the best measure of judgement is to see what its like for yourself ingame when I release this :P
i would actually say that overall the sc2 one looks better... at least in the dark areas... the sc1 version is less blurry in the light areas but looks odd in the black areas.
The units in FA don't use the same textures in fact and they must be converted to even work on supcom2, that's why the units end up looking like this to get them looking they way they should whole new textures need to be made to fit in with supcom2 system, if you test try the textures from a supcom2 unit on a fa unit they look 10x better because there made for the engine.
