A full conversion MOD for ID's Quake 4, allowing you to play as multiple characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe.
Levels - What holds the game together.
SP is under work, but there'll be loads of maps and a nicely fleshed out story to go with them.
Level structure works like:
Act 1 - Power Map
Power maps involve everything you'd come to expect from a FPS. Running, gunning, missions to fulfill and various other things.
Act 2 - Speed Map
Pretty self-explainatory, really. A Sonic mod wouldn't be complete without some blistering, breakneck speed zones where you can truly let loose.
Act 3 - Special Map
This is a mixed bag. From boss levels to vehicle zones, this act has it all.
MP will have loads of maps, from old levels like Oil Ocean to Lost World, where some share layouts with the actual maps themselves!
BM is bonus mode, where various hidden goodies can be found. I'll keep this one quiet for now. :)
Weapons - Now, the exciting stuff!
All the weapons are set to be replaced. Some merely perform the functions you would generally need from a FPS (such as assault rifles and the like) whereas others do some wierd stuff that's pretty damn cool. Not to mention the addition of a unique melee weapon per person in MP mode, such as Silver's psychokenesis for example.
Characters - It isn't really a Sonic mod otherwise!
All the people you'd expect are here. Some which perhaps you wouldn't are too, and there's a load of NPCs who are interactable.
Also there are alternate costumes planned too (like on Rivals ;) ) but that's not confirmed yet.
Ok, this is probably going to be the last update in a while, due to the impending GCSEs I have to sit in a few weeks.
Anyway, so far we've made a fair bit of progress lately. I'll be uploading a video soon to illustrate this. From adding rings into the game, to a mainmenu and HUD rewrite, there's a fair bit there.
Also tails is in the game. Yeah. :) It's pretty funky running around as him, especially in station square.
So yeah. The video should be up soon.
