Rise of Three Kingdoms is a total conversion mod for Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms, with the aim of the mod being to completely recreate the Three Kingdoms Era (190 to 280 CE) as accurate and true to history as possible. The mod features hundreds of historic characters with their own unique biographies and titles, dozens of period accurate armaments, unique mechanics to either usurp the throne and establish your own dynasty or support the restoration of the Han, historic mission trees for the five main factions from the era, and the inclusion of various non-Han peoples such as the Nanman, Xianbei, Nanyue, and Goguryeo.

Instructions on error reporting for Rise of Three Kingdoms

If you are having issues running or installing the mod, be aware that we have limited capabilities to help you here at modDB. Due to the limited posting capabilities here, we are requiring anyone with issues to post their issues over at our official forum at Total War Center (TWC). If you post here looking for help, the most we will do is direct you to TWC and address issues raised there. If you are not a member of TWC, you may need to register prior to being able to post.

Issues with installation are, for the most part, due to either user error (not following install instructions carefully, etc.) or corrupt/incomplete downloads. Diagnosing problems, whether user error or issues with the mod itself, almost always require the use of the mod's log file. When installing, ensure that you are closely following the mod's Install Instructions as failing to do so can cause the mod to either not start or crash when attempting to play.

Before posting your issue(s) at TWC, please refer to the Error Reporting Readme, so that you can properly set your log to "trace" and reproduce the error, in turn creating a usable log. Once that is accomplished, create a new thread in the Error Reports section of our forum and we will do what we can to resolve your issue(s) and get you playing the mod. When reporting, make sure to not only include your log, but also be as descriptive as possible when describing the issue and when/how/where it occurred.

Do note, however, that your hardware specs, system setup, other mods installed, and a variety of other circumstances can cause issue with Medieval 2 mods, some of which are out of our hands. We will do our best to help you, but obviously cannot promise anything.

Thank you and happy gaming!
