Rise of Three Kingdoms is a total conversion mod for Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms, with the aim of the mod being to completely recreate the Three Kingdoms Era (190 to 280 CE) as accurate and true to history as possible. The mod features hundreds of historic characters with their own unique biographies and titles, dozens of period accurate armaments, unique mechanics to either usurp the throne and establish your own dynasty or support the restoration of the Han, historic mission trees for the five main factions from the era, and the inclusion of various non-Han peoples such as the Nanman, Xianbei, Nanyue, and Goguryeo.

All fans of the three kingdoms time period should give this mod a shot. It has fun gameplay, mechanics involving generals, and has goguryeo and xianbei factions which are not in some other three kingdoms games or mods.

One of Best and Unique M2TW mod out there, very rare to see such refinement and dedication by such a small team. It definitely surpasses CA cash-grab ROTK by a whole lot.

Yet again proves the rule that a great mod on an older TW engine usually beats the latest CA release. I like this better than TW3K. Greater faction diversity. Amazing units and no unnecessarily complex/convoluted game play. Well done ROTK team. 9/10.

very good mod, i like how you end up getting lots of armies and generals, its great, not to mention the campaign map is beautiful... and one of the least crashing mods ive played for any game ^^ really good work

An impressive overhaul mod, that adds a lot more value to medieval 2

Amazing mod, this one is something special as much on historical scope, degree of detail and playability. This one and DaC have made my two best experiences in Total War. Thank you and congratulations for the creator/team.

One of the best Medieval 2 mods of all time!
