Renegade X is a mod dedicated to recreating C&C Renegade in the new generation engine, the Unreal Engine 3. We all believe the Command and Conquer series is a very special one, and its fans have been following its games for over a decade now. C&C has been one of the most successful videogame series in the RTS Genre. Our modding team believes that C&C Renegade is truly a hidden gem in the FPS genre. C&C Renegade's specialty was its multiplayer mode, because it was not mindless killing like most games. A player was thrown into a battle as soon as he joined a server, in which teamplay was the only way to win. The game revolves around a war between the Global Defense Initiative, and the Brotherhood of Nod. Each faction would have their own base of operations consisting of buildings. A team had to work together to destroy the enemy base, while keeping theirs intact. Obelisk/Advanced Guard Tower (Base defenses) Without these, your team has no automatic defense. Hand of Nod/ Barracks...

I would have guessed the battery to be bigger, but this design looks nifty. Only thing I'm worried about is how your fingers are so close to that electric current running through the rifle. Guess you gotta wear rubber-gloves with that one :p.

Its a device designed to kill, it does not specify whether the person dying is the user or person in front of it doesn't matter ^_^.

Doesn't seem very ergonomic... And I've always wondered why an energy weapon has a stock, there's no kick...

It's a lot easier to aim a weapon, even without a kick, when you can put it against your shoulder for initial steadiness.

He's right. Stocked weapons are a LOT easier to weild.

Not also that, but there would be -some- recoil. Newton said every reaction must have an equal and opposite reaction. Whilst, like light, free electrons have almost no momentum in themselves, the user would feel -somthing- nonetheless. :)

Electrons and photons have zero mass and travel at the speed of light, there's no recoil on energy weapons on the shooter or on the target.

Wrong. They have energy, therefore they have mass. E=Mc^2...

JetFire_ is right, photons are actually both energy and particles. The recoil would be negligable, yes, but it would exist.

Also, please remember, this is a fictional mod, taking place in a fictional world. We do have a lot of creative license. Also, look at what Westwood's version. They aren't too dissimilar.

Also, electrons do not travel at the speed of light. They are particles and are hence, subject to e=Mc^2, they can be sped up to near C speeds, but physics prevents them actually getting to C.
