Description
Hiigaran Defense Drones are capable of firing at incoming missiles (at this time only at long range and cluster missiles and mines). The Drone design and function is on a halfway between an interceptor and a platform.

amazing ... i missed the drone-frigates in HW2 a lot =/ (both from HW1 and Cata.)
This drone frigate will be something between both.
Will it give something that can block ion beams because it would be very unbalanced because the most vaygr weapons are rocket based.
The issue of defense. Yeah, that's a problem. Hiigarans have drones and defense fields, Vaygr have armor plating (which doesn't work the way I want it yet). There's one more thing (or two) for Vaygr I would like to test, but I won't talk about it until I know it actually works.
But:
-Vaygr are mostly attackers, Hiigaran defenders, so it should work.
-When you don't underestimate scouting the enemy and you find out that they have a lot of drones, you can build a laser frigates instead (the one we were talking about).
You can make some EMP frigate to counter attack a masive number of drones.
Yeah, I can.
You know, I just now watched this video, and I never realized they could be used to counter missile attacks... I've been using them... ALOT more offensively. Like, park a bunch of drones surrounding a nice cluster of weapons platforms in the middle of the enemy mining operation... that's what I've been using them for.
Looks pretty good. Work on that music though =/
