Dow-Host: Red Phoenix Rising is a total conversion of CNC zerohour. The mod aims to deliver a more realistic battlefield experience. Smallest = MK82 500 lb general purpose bomb
One in the middle = MK83 1000 lb general purpose bomb
The big one with the blue stripe = GBU 31 JDAM 2000lb GPS guided bomb (a variant of the MK84 2000lb general purpose bomb)
Will these bombs be for all US planes or will you specify like the GBU 31 JDAM is for the B-1 for example.
The GBU 31 JDAM and the AGM 154 JSOW will be mounted on the F-15E (Strike Eagle). MK82, and MK83 bombs will be mounted on the F-16. The GBU 31 can be carried and is usually carried by the B1 but that will make carpet bombing very accurate. In this mod, only the most modern of missiles and bombs can hit their targets accurately. For example artillery shots randomly scatter over a small or large area depending on fire speed. Also, tank guns can miss by several inches sometimes and especially when a target is moving fast. MK82 and MK 83 bombs usually scatter over a small area however the GBU 31 accurately hits its target. Anti air cannons have a hit probability of 1/3 and scud launchers used by the GLA might land in the other base :P
I am hoping that this logic of randomness will add more fun to the game by giving luck a piece of the cake. The idea was inspired from the amazing WW2 game "Blitzkrieg 2".
