Real War is a total conversion for C&C Generals Zero Hour, it's goal is to create gameplay that would feel much more like a real action rather then a clash of toys, staying at the same time competitive game. With realistic units, realistic FX, and realistic tactics we intend to create RTS experience of authenticity level never seen before. The sides include US Army, Armed forces of Russian Federation, and Chinese People's Liberation Army. Each with unique units, buildings and upgrades.

First of our infantry renders. Poses are not
final, but unit itself is to stay. This is the
basic US motorized infantry, armed with M8 assault
rifles.
Despite some previously irrelevant comments, these are the best skinned models I have EVER seen for ZH infantry. I applaud you. I'm sure my GPU will love them just as much ;)
these guys should be Spec Ops,they're still gonna use the M8
No XM8 was dropped & is not used buy any US forces :/ Special forces like delta force & navy seals use the HK-416/17 ( basically a badass M4 on roids XD )

Just a little point of fact, the M8 program has been cancelled. We won't see them as standard infantry weapons in the future. The SCAR system is the new frontrunner for the next-gen infantry weapon.
Back on-topic, lookin good. Poses need work to be more accurate, but other than that, very cool.
Yeah, ACU would be more realistic, or MARPAT, depending on army or marine corps.
Special Operations forces are going with the SCAR as it stands now, Regulars are going with the M4A2.
And yeah, some sort of digital camo or perhaps Multicam would be more appropriate.
It says US Army, so ACU is needed. But the SCAR indeed sounds like a good weapon. But isn't the Special Ops going to be using the HK416? The HK416 is probably outwon the M4A1 and M16 Service Rifles.

Where did you hear that the 416 is going to replace M4/M16? SCAR is the likeliest contender for a replacement, it was developed in conjunction with Special Op Command.
I don't think that SCAR is for regular troops. If we are to replace this guy's rifle, most likely its gonna be 416.
About ACU - any evidence that they actually wear this thing? It doesn't look too practical.
oh HELL no they aint gonna us hk416's dude what the hell you know about modern military you ******* most likely they'll still use the m4 and m16 or the SCAR. and dont you guys know that the US military is planing to use the m4/m16 rifle series for plenty more years to come you all got your info wrong my father is a US military major hes knows about these things.

Yeah every Army solider I have seen wears in now. The recruiters at my school do too. Its the new camo and replaced the woodland , havent you heard?
I've heard about this camo, but just thought it was another thing, which they made "for fun" (like oicw or Comanche =) ). I just don't understand, soldier's figure becomes much more distinctive on the wooden landscape with this new camo.
And what about SOF groups? Rangers? Do they wear this thing too?

Redo the infantry with ACU outfitting, and add a M16 with a M203 Grenade launcher. Not to sound demanding, but that will make it better.
The arm patch, the 7th Infantry Division doesnt exist anymore. It got disbanded in Aug 2006. So you have to replace that patch. Maybe with ACUs lol
Goddamn you all are nagging the hell out of the modeler. Its THEIR universe, they can tinker with it as they see fit. And personally, I dont see anything wrong with it. The XM8 was actually a promising rifle; and if they simply go "Yeah. No SCAR; XM8 instead' then so be it, no?

This is supposed to be modern, and as of now, the current standard issue assault rifle is the M16/M4 and the rifle-mounted grenade launcher is the M203. It's on the army factfiles site Army.mil , and in the America's Army game. Geez.
It's funny how the infantry have a 7th Infantry Division patch, since the 7th Infantry Division doesnt exst anymore
