Been working with gimp for a few weeks, figured I'd give texturing a shot. Overlayed some pre release screenshots and went from there.
Looking good.
I think the helmet is a little odd looking. But hey, it's a wip. Good job on the texturing of his body. Just something about that helmet bothers me. But don't let my opinion get in your way.
Damn that's a good-looking Barney over there! Good work! I really like the face texture. The helmet could indeed be better but maybe it's just the lighting :) .

The blue on the helmet could be toned down a little bit and then it would be near perfect!

Maybe it's only my opinion but I think that Beta/Alpha phases of Half-Life 2 and 1 had a "Style > Realism" That's why I like it a little bit better (in someway) than the final product.
