Alpha bug fix
Jun 19, 2012 Patch 1 commentFixes a small bug that was causing a crash. Now I am typing random stuff to satisfy the 50 character requirement. Hopefully you enjoy this little taste...
Province: Cyrodiil is a mod for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It aims to create the province of Cyrodiil, also known as the Imperial Province. This creation is based heavily upon the lore describing the region in The First Pocket Guide to the Empire. Many will recognise Cyrodiil as the province in TES4 Oblivion, but you will find that this iteration is vastly different and should provide many new experiences for TES fans.

Hello faithful followers of Province: Cyrodiil. In today's Black Horse Courier we talk about our new website.
Recently Province: Cyrodiil moved from its home at provincecyrodiil.com to a new website at provincecyrodiil.project-tamriel.com. This move was made to join the project-tamriel hub so that resources could be shared across several mod projects, most notable the burgeoning province mod for High Rock. While High Rock is still behind closed doors it is run by a friend of mine, SGMonkey, who is great at creating resources and since the move we have seen our model department gain some steam.
The move to the website will also allow us to get a working claims browser so that the staff does not have to manually move threads across the forums once claims are picked up and completed by our mod team. If any of you are familiar with Tamriel Rebuilt you will be familiar with the system which we are trying to create, though we will be cleaning it up and making it a more streamlined tool.
Onto other things, we have been overhauling our old models either replacing resources or optimizing meshes that were using unnecessary properties and polys. This will give our final version of Stirk a much smaller performance impact while not changing the visual quality at all as well as allowing for us to keep framerates up across the province.
Anvil is coming along nicely, the basic layout of the city is completed and it is a much more robust place than it was when seen in Oblivion. Thieves and miscreants will find that the home city of the Thieves Guild in Cyrodiil is an even better place to loot and hide in than before.
Also check out the above bit of concept art which may be coming to life soon...

This is an incredible mod. I just wanted to let you guys know that a lot of lore-lovers thank you for creating an interesting, lore-accurate version of the cyrodiil that could have been. Keep it up! I can't wait to start seeing mainland cyrodiil, real differences between nibeneans and colovians, intriguing architecture, cyrodiils with cool tattoos and brandings like those in the PGE concept art, all the stuff that seemed to be lost when Oblivion was released.
In short, thank you guys, and keep up the good work!
I'm glad you like it! I can attest to the fact that each one of the things you just mentioned are indeed part of this mod already!
every thing looks very nice =)
alright how do you access the province in the game?
The easiest way to get to the Stirk release is to open the console and type coc "Stirk"
I'm curious, is there a purchaseable estate/home within the province of Cyrodiil?
As of right now, no, but that doesn't mean there aren't options for player housing... Perhaps quests are involved?
I don't want to reveal too much :)
this may be a silly question, but is this mod a part of tamriel rebuilt attempt, or does it at least cover the same concept?
I am the current Head of Interiors for Tamriel Rebuilt. Province: Cyrodiil is not part of the TR mod as TR is only focused on recreating Morrowind, contrary to what the title implies. However, we obviously have close ties to TR and most of the members of P:C have been or are still currently also active on the TR team.
Province: Cyrodiil will fit seamlessly to the southwest of Morrwind as created by TR.
neet :D
well that's good to know
but still, i'm hoping to play the whole frikn tamriel in morrowind engine in like 10 yrs, provided i do not loose my intrest in gaming :P
keep up the good work, on both sides :)
