Portal: The Second Slice is a mod that aims to recreate and improve upon concepts from the lost “core hub” era/version of portal 2 in portal 1 and extending on them.
This mod draws its art style inspiration from the portal 2 animation tests. It prominently features the intense wakeup sequence of carcass GLaDOS, fully functional and set for further enhancements. This mod ambitiously recreates the entirety of the “pre-hub” chapter, accompanied by a revamped rendition of the “hub” chapter from the beta, which is also remade from scratch. Also, There are four distinct cores, each equipped with custom voice lines, there will be 6 maps for each testing track. Complete with a new, conclusive ending for the mod.
In short, Second slice isn't really a beta recreation It's more of a beta reimagining, like dark interval and raising the bar Redux
This is a Community made project, I did not work on this myself.
Other people did help the with making of the mod.

and The dev team is working HARD as hell to revamp the prehub chapter. We won't release a build anytime soon.
