Hi guys. I know this is pretty late, but I had to put this mod on pause for a while as I needed to focus on other things in my life, plus it didn't help that I ran into some problems with its development which took a long time to fix (mostly to find the fixes themselves). I didn't want to leave this unfinished though, so I've been working on polishing it up for a release lately - and here it is.
If there is interest, I will keep updating Platform. I've got a CTF mode nearly complete, as well as more maps, as my main plans for an initial update.
Platform features new gameplay and maps, though most of the models and textures are the stock HL2 ones - the actual amount of work on this mod has only been a few months' worth. I still hope you enjoy it, it's definitely been fun making it :)

wow... released yesterday!? I was looking for exactly something like this
Great gameplay and feeling to the atmosphere. The camera really works with the player and the pick up animations were a great addition to the game too. One thing I'd like to add as a suggestion is the fgd for the map editor :)

I get an error on startup. But i wanna play this :'(
What error are you getting? Try restarting Steam. A few of my friends were getting strange errors when launching the mod, all seemed to be related to Steam in some way as a restart usually fixed them.
it says "MountFileSystem( 217 ) Failed: (a bunch of numbers and letter) failed with error 116
cache needs repair. Restarting didn't work.
Oh, that one... run & close Source SDK Base 2007, then Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, then Half-Life 2. One or more of those is going to complain about cache problems and repair its files, then the mod should run fine.
Where do i run Source SDK 2007. i thought it was in the library.
Library -> Tools (there's a dropdown menu at the top, where the Library button is)
But try running just HL2 and HL2DM first, that usually fixes it.
