Planet: XI-2571 mod for Half-Life 2

Planet: XI-2571 is a singleplayer sci-fi horror first person shooter, rpg, survival mod based off of the popular Valve Source Engine. The game takes place on Planet: XI-2571 a recently inhabited planet that is now home to a division of Paragon Industries. Paragon Industries is the leading corporation in advanced technologies including mining, energy production, biological engineering, warfare technologies, artificial intelligence and aerospace. Paragon Industries does everything and anything to remain the leading developer of the time period. As a marine the player will join their squad in exploring the now ghostly planet’s environment both indoors and outside, with a number of environmental hazards to watch out for including low or no oxygen, radiation, weather storms, toxic gases and etc. The players PDA will have a hud warning of these environmental hazards so that the player can take steps to hopefully avoid death such as obtaining oxygen tanks to fill your space suit. In Planet: XI-2571 the player will come across various npc’s including Paragon employees that have survived, and marines that will have side missions that do and don’t effect the main missions and that help the plot and its development. Use advanced weaponry with upgradable parts and gain experience to improve your weapon skills. Use technologies such as hacking utilities with your PDA to access locked doors, various computers, security systems and machines including auto-turrets to use at your disposal. Explore the haunting corridors of the Paragon Ind. facility on the planet, now left in dissarray after a mysterious incident. The facility is unsettlingly yet seemingly empty but something doesn’t seem quite right, and you could swear you just saw something move infront of you and think maybe it was just your eyes? but, probably not. Discover what happened on the planet and discover the true face of Paragon Industries. Encounter various enemies including an alien species that have a distinctive life cycle and can parasitically alter and take over a human body eventually changing the physical appearence of the human as the alien continues advancing its own maturity using human hosts as well as singularly. Gain experience points to improve your engineering, weaponry, medical, and endurance skills. The game also will have an inventory system with a set weight limit although you can increase how much you can carry by increasing your endurance as well as finding different suits with a higher set weight or by adding an upgrade to your suit. The inventory will be used to collect important necessities to survive, and collect as well as be home to the weapons you collect and their upgrades. More info to come as the game is developed.
