Over the year following version 2.3's release, we've been hard at work expanding our team, improving the game, and adding new features for all 'ye landlubbers to sink your teeth into. We know you've all been patiently waiting for a preview of 2.4, so here it is!
One major feature of our new patch will be the introduction of a new game mode called Trinket Wars. Trinket Wars will replace the current Holy Grail mode, and bring a new level of team-oriented combat to the game. The mechanics are simple - each team has its own trinket to look after. As each team scores kills in the presence of their trinket carrier, they earn points toward victory. Killing an opposing team's trinket carrier awards your team a point, subtracts one from the enemy team, and replenishes health and armor to those who witnessed it. Today we introduce map tw_Temple with updated Captain voices!
Feast your eyes on our beautiful new game mode:
Also with the update comes a brand new set of voice commands for each class. We really wanted to give each class its own personality as we look toward adding new classes in the future. Kudos to Bingo Bango, TheForgotton, and DragonNOR for their spectacular work!
Have a listen, darling:
So, you've seen the new game mode, you've heard the new voices, now it's time for the bad news. It is with the deepest regret that I inform you we will not be able to include the Man-At-Arms, Sharpshooter, and Fort into the 2.4 update. But we got a crate made by Dudders for you:
Lovely, eh? We plan to introduce both the Man-At-Arms and Sharpshooter in the update following 2.4.
That's all for now. I hope you all had as much fun as I did.
